  1. No matter how hard I try, I cannot get below 40 carbs. Gosh, even vegetables have them. I take fiber capsules for constipation, they have carbs too
  2. Yes, I had completed 5 months when the Cigna change came into effect. I went to the 6th meeting anyway; I learned alot in those meetings. My paperwork was submitted on Thursday and now, I am awaiting my results. The waiting is the killer.
  3. Mine sent me a questionnaire to fill out pre-visit. Mine was done over 2 days and each of the days I took a test (personality and health). The first session, we discussed my questionnaire; the second, the results of my tests. She mainly asked me about my support system and handling family stresses.
  4. We loved it!
  5. I have 2; the easy and the medium. They have a video you can download.
  6. Looks good; I have the ingredients in the house, so I will make them tonight. Thank you - we were just discussing dinner and eating the same old boring stuff.
  7. I had my annual physical on Tuesday and they did the EKG, Chest X-Ray and H Pylori test then. He will fax the results to the surgeon when I am approved ( info was submitted to Cigna yesterday).
  8. The cucumber water sounds great. On my way to Aldi after this to get me some cukes.
  9. I lost 17 pounds in the 6 month supervised nutrition meetings. Since then, not an ounce. I am sure I will lose more once I am on the liquid diet. But it is frustrating to eat way less, watch carbs and the scale doesn't move.
  10. Thank you. i was wondering...should I measure my head in case I lose my brain? LOL
  11. When I first went to the NUT,she suggested some things to accomplish during the 6 mos. I thought I would do them all so they'd be second nature by surgery time. Let me tell you, the caffeine withdrawal was the absolute pits and the nausea lasted about a week. I really should have taken it slower.
  12. I also made a secret facebook page. I only told my best friend, of course my hubby and kids; hubby told his brother and a girl at work who had the bypass. I think I will "tell all" once it is over. Right now, I kind of feel that it is no one's business but mine.
  13. Thank you! I call him my ghrenlin. After surgery, I will change the picture.
  14. I think my submission for approval was fax-ed today. I went for my physical with my PCP yesterday and he ordered the EKG, Chest XRay, and H-Pylori Test; the lab took me right away. He said if the H Pylori came back positive, it would be treated before the surgeon ordered the tests anyway. He said he just wanted there to be no holdups for a surgery date once I was approved.
  15. Beautiful New Me. How are you? I have been missing your posts.
  16. They have this gel "Ayr" that I use when using the CPAP. I just got a new machine, so I doubt they would get a reading from the sim card. However, they were happy with the number of hours logged with the old one. I have the nasal pillows, and for some reason, my left nostril is sore. Going to use a new pillow ( only been using this one for 3 days ). But the Ayr makes the mask soothing. I hadn't used it in almost a year and went to Wally World last night and bought a tube.
  17. I have abdominal binder on my list of questions for the surgeon.
  18. I just purchased their unflavored at GNC. I will try it tonight; I am really hoping it doesn't taste "yucky".
  19. My daughter bought this really cute top, size XS (I can't hate her, she is my daughter) I was never a small, much less XS. Anyway I mentioned how much I liked it and now that I am going to have the surgery, I am too old to wear something like that. Today in the mail, one came for me in a Large ( my daughter got me one ). A large! Seems like I always wore a 2X. What an incentive!!
  20. I was born and raised in Jersey City - now in Florida. The woman who bought my car was from my (Greenville) neighborhood and I sat at the table out front and we had a "reunion" of sorts.
  21. Wow! Too small? What a concept; something to think about.
