  1. I know, I hate abs, too. Funny thing is, I was more sore after abs, then I was after my first work out. The trainer is fantastic. The fitness center is attached to the bariatric center, one of the perks of the program. She works everyone at their own level, and seems to know which direction to go with everyone.
  2. Another good one, maybe I should try that one!
  3. Will have to show that one to hubby!
  4. Wow, good luck to you and your daughter! Let us know how you all make out.
  5. Oh that is way too funny, thanks I loved it!
  6. I can feel mine. Can't see any indication of it, but deep down, there it is. Let you know how easy it is to hit tomorrow when I get my first fill!!!
  7. Have you looked into getting some tests run yet?
  8. Just think, maybe not a bikini, or skin tight body suits, but boy will you look good in a pair of jeans and a tucked in shirt someday! That is what I am looking forward to, just tucking in a shirt, or wearing cute little sweaters is what I dreaming of right now!
  9. Wow, this happens to other people too? I made a fantastic friend back in nursing school, in the late 70's. Best friends, and all of that. Had our kids at the same times. Back in 1997, she stopped comunicating with me, and I have not talked to her in a few years now. But for the longest time I would call her, email, write, and apologize for something that I had no idea what it was I had done. She would never tell me, and to this day I still miss her and dream about her on occasion!
  10. I was allowed to start at the gym one week after banding. However, the personal trainer is oriented in our surgeries, and knows how to work with post op pt's. I started on a pretty normal routine, but I had to wait 5 weeks before working abs.
  11. I felt like I was kicked by a mule for 2 days. Then it eased off. Was stiff for a little while, and the port felt weird, but that is all gone, now. Good luck, things will get better, and do sit around and pamper yourself when not taking that nice walk!
  12. Hurray for you! Welcome, to the bandland!
  13. Steri Strips for me, and for the gall bladder surgery. Seemed to work well, we will see about the scars. Wonder why so many different things are used?
  14. We have a dive team here, and I was asked to take the classes to get up to the Rescue Diver. Have not done that yet, but even with all I have seen, I really have no desire to be the one that comes face to face with that body under the water! I think I will be the guy that stays in the boat, marking off the area.........
  15. I am starving, but have been all along. My portions are smaller, though. I get my first fill on Friday, and can not wait!
  16. Wow, wow, wow! that is absolutely the coolest thing I have heard in a long while! Let us know what happens, so we can rush out to the bookstands the minute the book comes out in print! Heck, I will even break down and buy it in hardcover!!!
  17. Good luck to you. I imagine the way those wafers melt in your mouth that it will be no problem. Bread is an entirely different story. Good luck to you!
  18. Hello and Welcome to all! Good luck to you, and I am sure you are making a great decision. It is very hard to consider such a step, but once you do, you will be happy you did it. I only wish I would have done it sooner in my life, and not wasted all those years with yo yo dieting, to find myself heavier each time I gained it back. Let us know how you make out!
  19. Wow, you look great! You can't even see your surgery scars! Congratulations to you, you deserve it!
  20. I had not thought about the wetsuit thing. That is one of the reasons I no longer scuba dive. My wetsuit would never fit me. Maybe someday it will, and I will be able to comfortably have all the gear on, and still be able to put my flippers on!
  21. Welcome. you will enjoy it here, and there is a lot of knoweldge here. I have to wait 5 weeks until my first fill.
  22. Welcome and good luck to you. There is a lot of good people and good information to be found here. Enjoy!
  23. Hi Teacher, You and I were banded same day, and I am not losing either. Not freaking yet, as I am going to the fitness center, and working hard there. See my doctor for first fill this coming Friday, yippee......
  24. Glad things went well for you. Keep us up to date on how things go.
