  14. congrats! I had an excellent recovery process... I'm only 9 days post op and have felt amazing since day 1. I have had no pain and no problems keeping anything down. it has been the best decision of my life. I am 28 and my only regret is not doing it sooner! I wanted to do it now while I was young, only 100lb overweight, no health problems like high blood pressure or diabetes. I didn't wanna have to do in my 40s when I had all these problems. bc they all run in my family. I am down 24.2 from may 2... start of my liquid dust and 12lb from surgery day! it's crazy! I also went to two different seminars. I've been reading message boards and watching YouTube and have gained a ton of knowledge. luckily for me.. I didn't have to wait a long time... my insurance didn't require it. my initial dr appt was march 15 and I was sleeved may 16. I was on top of all my preop appts! honestly for me the hardest part was not being able to have any liquids day of surgery and also the barium for the X-ray. the only time I had to vomit was from that stuff :/ good luck and you'll do great
  15. I did. during my preop ultrasound appt.. they found that I had gallstones. lucky to have them done at the same time
  16. good luck!!!!! I am exactly 1 week post op and I'm feeling amazing!!!!!!!!!! :)
  17. I'm sorry you've had such a horrible first few days. I was sleeved may 16 and have been feeling great since the day of surgery. ive been out and about all weekend long... I feel so blessed that I had it so easy. no pain at all, the only time I vomited was from that stupid barium stuff :/ yuck!!!!! the only thing I'm annoyed with now is having to sleep on my back.. my butts killin me! I'm a stomach and side sleeper
  18. I told my close friends and family. obviously 6 months down the road everyone will start thinkin something and I'll be honest but for now... I don't need anyone's opinions.. thankfully I did have to get my gallbladder out.. so the people from work just think I'm having gallbladder surgery
  19. me too! can't see your pics!
  20. mine was good.. although when I had my ultra sound.. it came back that I had gallstones so I need to get that out during my sleeve surgery.
  21. can anyone forward that to me too? sarahro33@aol.com
  22. may 16 here!!!!
  23. it was a breeze. i remember them wheeling me in.. and next thing I know I was waking up with my dad in the room.. I asked him how long he was in the room waiting for me to wake up.. and he said that I was up and talking to him when he walked in.. which i totally don't rememeber! they said my throat may be sore but I didn't feel any pain. I felt fine and could have definately worked but they said not to bc you were under sedation. my doctor did prescribe me a patch for nausea that I put behind my ear the night before.
  24. Yep! We just celebrated 5 years in Oct. We are Pennsyvlanias first casino! The Mohgean in PA is probably a 1/4 of the size of its mother ship! we are tiny! I am a table game dealer there.. We just got the tables in July 2010.
  25. I am actually in Pennsylvnia. But my emoloyer is based out of CT. I work at Mohegan Sun Casino in PA. all the confusion is cleared up! she had the Blue Cross Highmark Medical Policy instead of the Blue Cross Anthem Policy. she was told they were the same thing.
