  1. you will sweetie just rest, take your meds and stay as positive as you have been.
  2. add me if you want too. if you PM me, i will send you my cell # and email.
  3. with that type of attitude missy, you can accomplish anything. just begin is all. if you dont do well on one meal or one day, do better the next. beating yourself into a pulp wont help. we cant bring back yesterday so do it today.
  4. he has my back and I sure am glad to know that you do also Sharon
  5. waiting another week to go the dr (all the while you cant drink or eat) could not only make you severely dehydrated, but could be dangerous with your health. best to go to the dr instead of waiting a week (to lose more weight). just my opinion. your health is more important than what the number on the scale says.
  6. (if you are on liquids, check with your dr to see if a pureed banana is okay. i was not allowed this until week 3/4 post op)
  7. about thinning hair, or losing their hair?
  8. ff refried Beans were delicious for me on my mushies. and very mushed tuna w/ff mayo. these two items saved me.
  9. well, we just had major surgery remember and they cut our tummies and insides. i had 5 incisions, so its bound to hurt a smidge . it hurt me when i bent (at waist/stomach) or stood up...it does get better. my port spot def let me know it was there up until about 2 weeks ago. i will talk to you whenever hon. you are def not alone
  10. just saw you were kinda banded recently...i know about 2 weeks ago, my port site was (tender) tissue come to find out it was the scar forming around the band. do you think that could be it??
  11. slept on my stomach first night home with no problems. cindy, does your dr know this? i am assuming. i hope you feel better and rest
  12. do not compare your excellent weight loss against others. someone like me would kill to be at your weight. your body loses at its own pace. accept it and make the best of it. would you rather be 33 pounds heavier?? all the best..
  13. the dr can give you something for nausea......that may help you. but push through and get that protein in..
  14. all head hunger............you see it so you want it. stay strong and you will overcome
  15. the more you heal the hungier you get. at least it did for me. am assuming you are on liquids..........drink drink and keep drinking. if you can eat sf popsicles and Soup (chicken noodle strained was my fave). protein is will keep you full and from being hungry. please do not do pills that is just silly and could be dangerous. if you are truly hungry later on and its not head hunger, then eat....but well, eat healthy.... you are healing. dont stress on things you cant control. what you can control is you.
  16. as you heal, you will start to get hungry again. (what happened to me). you will begin eating again. and when you do, just because you can eat doesnt mean you should eat junk and in large amounts. do not eat more than a cup of food at a time. this will help you. (it has helped me so far). as for being tired, sounds like you are not getting enough Protein and or taking your Vitamins. so if are you truly hungry and its not head hunger, eat. if not, drink something, a Protein shake or drink some water or crystal light. this is a more mental game than a surgery to make someone lose 100 pounds in 7 months. you can do this. you are doing GREAT.
  17. all the best and this forum is the best place for friendship and support.
  18. gold medal to you for doing a great JOB girlfriend
  19. just because you can eat as much, doesnt mean you should.you need to practice your portion control and eating habits now. by selecting healthy choices. also, you are still healing. what matters is you resting and taking care of yourself. start to make the changes mentally to prepare you ahead. tmf is 100% correct. focusing on gains will make you upset. during the day, eating, drinking , peeing etc will have your body weight will be going up and down. focus on how much better you feel and how loose your clothes are.
  20. id call and ask your dr if you wish to know the correct answer. my dr said tylenol only. (you will find some that say its ok and some like me that say its not). id make a quick call to your doctor/nurse and ask.
  21. they repaired a hernia on me during the time i was getting the lap band. same recovery i expect. i only noticed it when i took a deep breath (so i tried not to do that)..
  22. your in my thoughts hang in there and just do what your doctor says...
  23. gonna be tough---dont hate me....but was in your shoes not long ago: ok. you messed up. so what....you gained back what you lost. ok. so what... shall i take your head now or later?? what is done is done. we cannot go back in time to what was. what you have is today. right now. you also acknowledge drinking soda, eating/binging and all the things you know is what made you and i gain weight in the first place. SO STOP IT-- RIGHT NOW. just because you can overeat, and eat junk food and eat around the band does not mean you should. did you go through all the pre ops and post ops and liquid diets just to say WTheck?? no i dont think so. right now is a new day. a new start. 3 meals a day and a couple healthy Snacks. get rid of the junk (high fat/salty/processed foods). get rid of the sodas. buy fresh fruit/veggies and lean Protein. NO EXCUSES by saying i got kids and they need treats..... you know what to do to lose weight you also know what to do to gain weight. you either make up your mind to do something about it or you stay where you are. when is the last time you seen your surgeon/lap band doctor? if you want help, this forum saved me and still saves me to this day. i am a newbie bander. but i know if i want to succeed, i have to do it. you can do this. Yes you can. dont say you cant or its too hard. no more excuses. just get on with it. life is too short to ponder what was. if you need me to email you/text/call you every hour, i will. i am here for you. but please know you have to be there for yourself first. you are in my thoughts.
  24. you are healing. do not be worried about calories or gaining/losing weight. just keep your fluids up and stay hydrated. as the poster before me stated, you are still early on. focus on your protein as that is what is feeding your body and making you feel full. all the best radar.
  25. i left mine on until they fell off. my nurse in hospital told me to leave them on there so i did.
