Doubts - & Wednesdays the Day!
I am so happy you have not cheated. I am so proud of you. You were on the same liquid as I was. Its a great feeling to know inside you are doing so well isn't it? That tells me that you got this and understand what it takes to make yourself well. There are just nerves...Don't worry about what you don't lose..you are just preparing your insides for surgery. Its not about how much you lose...YOU are amazing. Best of luck.

Why Are You Banded???
i was at my highest weight ever, it was hard for me to walk and it was getting hard going to the bathroom...i felt i was as wide as i was tall..i was in serious trouble...i researched for 6 months all wls and liked the band...it took me some time to find a dr who accepted my insurance..by the time i found one, i was about to give up and then i found out i was going to be a grand mother....i wanted to be able to push the baby around the block...that was my goal.. my band and plication helps me eat less (and i mentally make myself aware of the foods i eat..if i eat, its going to be something good for me and filling and what i want)..my band helps me and that is why i love my band. why was i banded...so i could save my life and for this: my grandbaby eryn and my air force son wyatt

To Band or Not to Band.........That is the question!
ok, here comes my pov from nc any WLS has pros and cons some have issues and some dont the more that have complications are the ones more vocal against and suggest other surgeries..as are the ones who are not compliant (please note that no matter what WLS one gets, things do happen, good and bad) so one is no better than the other. i feel one must do what works for them and be compliant as you can be,, if something awful happens, that is terrible but success will vary with any WLS...based on many things..

9 Days Post Op - Hungry and Can Eat Much More than 2-3ozs?
you said you forced yourself to see..and maybe get to that throw up threshold.. please any newbie or prebie banders, read this and realize this is NOT the way a person who wants to lose weight works the lap band. following your dr's instructions is..

To Band or Not to Band.........That is the question!
which ever surgery you decide, it will take a complete mental change and a change in your eating habits. wls is not an easy fix and it does take work. there are pros and cons to each for various reasons. i suggest reading each and then when you feel you are ready, and commit 100%, go for it no matter what.

Psych and Nutrition Appointments on Tuesday
my nut appt was very informative. she went over the basics and then the band life style and went over the pros and cons and really filled me in on why i had to change what and how much i eat..she was right. this appt was scheduled for an hr but she ended up being with me over 2. she was amazing. the mental eval, he asked me questions, went over my history and i guess put out feeler questions to see if he thought i was stable enough to have this surgery..he stressed compliance, this appt was about 45 min.

Only 4 pounds
4 pounds lost is better than any gain. id take it...that being said, just because the scale is not moving as quick as you like, i bet you are losing inches and your clothes are getting too big..that to me means success...we all lose 1/4 pound at a time..the same as we gained it...continue doing what you are doing as it it working.

40 pounds gone!

2days post op and feeling full?
yes, you will feel (full or not hungry) as you are still very swollen inside..as it subsides, the hungry feeling will come back..i know it did for me..just go slow, take wee bites and just be careful..congrats on your surgery.

Can a banded person take Celebrex?
def a question best left answered by your dr. you will most likely get yes and no responses but what answer matters is your dr. like maui said, my dr told me no nsaids. hope your elbow feels better soon

Is there a problem here?
wow, that is alot going on. i am sad to read it. your health is everything..its all you got so you need to make it a priority. please continue with your counselor as that is a wonderful thing and its nice to have someone to confide in and talk to. eating yoghurt, and drinking for meals is not a way to live. eating small amounts of food is the way to go. just my opinion. and eating sweet/junky food is what made you and i need WLS surgery to begin with. until you are ready to change what you eat and follow a nutritional (diet) plan, i dont know what will happen. i know i sound mean and i am sorry, but you have to change to make this band work and until you do, it wont work.

Band slipped??? How do I know?
i think you need to make an appt wth your dr, let them know your fears, maybe do an xray or a gi to look at the band and see whats going on...your dr is the best one to ask. hang in there okay.
