Chest pain

I'm on day 13 post surgery and still having pain in my esophagus and throut. It feels like a fist going up and down in my chest. I had a hernia fix along with the band. I'm on liquids and soft foods but can only get about 6 oz of fluid down a day and about 1/4 c. Soft foods. Did anyone put there have problems?

I had a hernia repair at the same time as the lap band. I did feel some discomfort, but it didn't effect my ability to drink liquids. The pain went away in about a week. Hope you feel better soon.

Thanks, I hope I'm feeling better soon too. I thought I might call the Dr. Tomorrow and see what they say about this pain.

If you can only get down 6oz of fluid a day, you need to call your doctor!

i had the hernia repair also and it did not seem to affect my swallowing..i agree with the other posters, def need to let your dr know as its vital to stay hydrated..congrats on your recent surgery
