  1. you all's kind words touch me deeply. thank you for taking time out to say something. it is very much appreciated.
  2. my co worker's daughter sells them and every yr i buy 2 boxes so got 2 of them and will send them to my son in ok city....... but i feel 4 ya tmf
  3. usually i write about a silly success as related to me... today i got one and its not silly....it made my day out of no where this evening, hub came over to me (it was 75 here today and when i got home i put on a tank) and i was watching him polish his ride, he came over and said look at you......i just looked at him..he touched my shoulder and said look at those skinny shoulders and upper arms...i said no way, he said yeah and made me look and sure enough, there be my collar bone and my upper arm is no longer a log but has some definition and outline....imagine that on me... i never ever thought id share something like this but i am...
  4. there are always a s s holes in the world.....sorry you had to meet one.
  5. i dont see a problem.....a loss is a loss to me keep with it as you are doing great. well done.
  6. well, the others said what i will say, refer to your dr esp about pain and having trouble eating..i will say, that you being banded only a short time that you may have (eat) too early and that is a reason why you got stuck or felt uncomfortable (the swelling inside and trying to eat too soon with too much) that being said, dont think switching to the sleeve (will magically make you lose weight quicker). it takes work just like with the band..you seriously have to let the band work (and help it by following the guidelines and you would have to do that with the sleeve also). please call your dr as they are the ONLY ones who can advise you how to handle the issues you are having.
  7. 100% agree....always refer to your dr what works for me, may not be what your dr advises
  8. ok, shall i send in my doberman dogs to rip you to shreds? keep up with the protein as that helps you stay full..bathroom or not..did you ask your dr about immodium yet, that will give you some ease..and drink...(also help with fullness) yeah its hard but worth it..no more, pinky swear
  9. be careful as (people die).....yeah and just last week someone in china walked into an ostrich pen to kill himself......what does being obese mean? that i may die if i dont......risk i took....
  10. i agree ..to me its just another processed item..its easy and yes it is delish...i so miss coco krispies.......but id have the whole box it was soooooo good
  11. your dr is 100% correct, just continue to go slow (sip and sip)....to master anything, you just do....the slowing down, if you eat too fast or too much, band will let you know...you'll stop once you feel it .....and the drinking or not drinking was hard, i just did it.....its def a mind over matter as i see it...and i can say that bc we all got that extra tool to help us in our tummy. so hang in...sounds like you are doing super duper.
  12. just because (the scale) is not showing a loss yet does not mean its not working..your body does need to heal (yeah it sux because we want to lose 20 pounds a week).....so try and find some patience. if you stick with it, following the band (diet foods/amounts) it will happen.
  13. your weight goes up and down all day long....and in the first 4 to 6 weeks, you really shouldnt get so hung up on (losing a set amount) your body is healing....and the band is working even if you dont feel/think it is...also, i dont have any fills so just having a fill (doesnt guarantee) you to lose weight..so eat your allotted amounts (protein/veggie/fruit) and drink alot and watch what happens...and def stop weighing all the time...find that want power and stick with it..
  14. hm, sorry i dont have anything to say except i wish i weighed now what you do..so dont knock it too much...what is exciting is your health, your smaller clothes..that alone should encourage you to keep on trucking.
  15. i know right from wrong and i also know there are good and bad people and things....and this surgery gave me back the faith i lost somewhere along the way ...the faith i am referring to is in regards to myself.. i now believe in myself again and that to me means more than what the scale may or may not say. sharon, love your posts ALWAYS and look for them daily GF
  16. i think if you have any doubts about your dr's you should find someone else. and you can go online (i know i did for mine) and research my surgeon and the clinic i went too. also, you may have also spoke with people (who may not have followed the dr's instructions and are upset with this dr and the band and just told you bad things...that is also something i thought about reading your post). as the ones who dont follow directions are the ones most vocal (against) and seem to blame everyone but the person..
  17. anytime you are having pain (even if it is nothing) always call the dr and let them know..always better safe then sorry...
  18. i cant do alot exercise wise, and when i got banded, i could hardly walk..i wouldnt go to the store or anywhere but to work and back....so i had to be careful with what/how much i ate. sure i stop at 1 cup of food but that doesnt give me free reign to just eat...3500 calories is a pound..liquid or food..if you eat more than you burn off, you wont lose and will gain. ps--may need to rethink going back to sugar free..you got to have a new mental attitude to make this work.
  19. this is the best news ever....congrats to you sweetheart
  20. i have those feelings (fears?) quite often myself all those years of yo yo'ing always makes me think, am i gonna screw this up too? the band will help us eat less. you have lost a good bit so good for you. we all cant lose 1 zillion pounds quickly..but if we keep going, keep trying and believe we can, we will get there. hang in there okay sweetie
  21. ok, here i am again, the odd ball of the bunch when i want something sweet, i drink me a protein shake (chocolate is my fave) or have a protein bar (i see that as a (candy) bar....
  22. there is a saying i believe....if you think you can't, your right so tel yourself (whether you believe it or not) that YOU CAN
  23. in relation to me, the more my swelling went down. i found i became more hungry this is where want power came in..to follow the dr's rules on eating/drinking and just hang in there....def need to be patient
  24. sorry to read this..
  25. yeah, its a coming..........wonder if that is why i got flowers today? :o
