I was banded on the 16th and started getting hungry on post-op day 3. The liquids don't do much to curb it, it is just pure willpower at this point. I have my first pre-op appointment on Wednesday and I should get to start eating some soft foods then, so hopefully it will help. Just try to hang in there.

Oh okay I guess maybe the swelling went down? And is causing more hunger? I don't have my post op appointment till the 11th of February I can't wait I wanna get the adjustment, or that is what I say now :)

Good luck on the appointment

I am halfway hoping for a fill and also very scared of getting one. I read all these posts where people get too much fill and are so miserable and I don't want to experience that.

You'll be in "bandster hell" until you get the fill that gives you enough restriction for the band to work it's magic. That may be 1 fill or 6. No one knows. Till then, like our esteemed forum member B-52 says,

"Until there's restriction...It's just another diet"

in relation to me, the more my swelling went down. i found i became more hungry

this is where want power came in..to follow the dr's rules on eating/drinking and just hang in there....def need to be patient

Exactly, bandster "hell" will pass and it gets easier. I rarely have cravings anymore or I find what I thought I was craving isn't as good as I was thinking it would be. I used to LOVE pasta. I rarely eat it now (unless in a soup or something). I made some today and after 1/2 cup I was satisfied and it wasn't as good as I remember. I find I am actually craving healthier foods as I have weened other foods out of my diet (for the most part).
