  1. i think (letting your doctor) know what is going on is the best thing and staying away from the doctor is the worst thing. in my opinion, the dr is the one who can help you..i do hope you get to feeling better
  2. yes, i have several body piercings besides the ears and was like WTF when i had to take them out. by far my nose ring was the hardest. maybe call and ask your dr if they can leave your nose one in. the worst they can say is no. ..but if you need to get it took out, i am sure any piercer will take it out. i had to go and have them put mine back in. yes it hurt/stung but i lived and sitting here typing this to you now.
  3. eating (is not bad)...eating is good and when making good food choices, even better. so you ate something. if you feel you dont do (good) one meal, do better the next. i found by knocking my head on my desk at work when my co-worker todd keeps messing up does not make it any better, only gives me a head ache.......so i will be a copy cat....some times you just gotta go oh well and move on..
  4. i agree with this. although that pesky scale does not move (or is moving at a snails pace), it is working. i go by how loose my clothes are or are they getting to big that i def need to buy new underwear just stay with it...keep eating the proteins/veggies/fruit/drink alot and exercise. it will work and it will show...even if you dont think it is..
  5. doubts about what? the band not working or you not following the guidelines? you are a smart girl who made a excellent choice to make herself well...congrats to you. you are currently healing from major surgery and need to rest and let your body get back to normal. your feelings will go up and down...i know mine sure did as to WTF was i thinking? but i remembered, this tool..is gonna help me walk again and lose weight..think of the big overall picture. no need to doubt if you listen to your doctor and do what they advise you to do. you can do it sweetie. i promise.
  6. have you went to a lap band seminar? they would def have alot of information that you are asking about (also some excellent websites with those answers). this forum you will get a varied response as we are all different. i will make my answer short and sweet. if you think you cant do this, you are right. this surgery offers you a tool to help you lose weight. you have to change your thinking to eating better food and begin to exercise and follow the lap band guidelines. so is the surgery something for you? only you can answer. but if you continue to do what you are doing now, you will only stay the same or get bigger, which was what happened to me. you have to want to lose weight bad enough to do something about it.
  7. i think no matter what you do or dont do....add or dont add or take away or change, there is always gonna be someone not happy about it...if someone likes a post, like it... and alex, you know i like alot of posts as you had to unblock my liking powers more than once
  8. i have a shake every morning (like knowing i got a good bit on my protein) mine is 28 grams a scoop plus my ff milk..i drink it bc i like the taste and i am not hungry in the am. on my pre and post op, i put in freezer til slush..ole girl had her own wendys frosty.. my dr and nut are fine with it..like patts says, do what works for you...like with all things, things vary per person
  9. only raining here......come on, put on my FM shoes and dance in the rain............me and patty cheer you on
  10. i would def add spinach and sun dried tomatoes...yes i would...and purple onions and green pepper
  11. the blue looks like the crackle that is out there now sorta
  12. are we talking nails??? or heels??
  13. i know, the blue is pretty....the pink velvet i love that color....its what mine are now bu feathers? nope...cant see it
  14. leather? velvet? and feathers? Move over concrete, so long velvet: Now FEATHER manicures are the newest nail craze for 2013 http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-2274970/Move-concrete-long-velvet-Now-FEATHER-manicures-newest-nail-craze-2013.html#axzz2KAAvHkxb
  15. i get exactly what you say i have been one of those who was so harrassed on OH after i was banded last year (and before my surgery) with pm's saying how stupid i was to get the band and why didnt i get the sleeve or bypass and in two years id have to revise and all these complications i was due to get... and every time i posted a question of what is this or that, id get a link to the failed banded fb page...that my dear is what i call trolls and people who bait just to be mean.. i cant tell you crappy i felt for a few months thinking what a mistake i must have made...i felt bad bc my ins didnt approve sleeves..self doubt..how nice of people to do that to a newbie.. but you know what, i am proving those women wrong. so as for all i got out of your post..i read it and understood it. i agree with it. i support any and everyone who gives a crap about following their dr's advice i do not coddle those who divert off course.. and if you want support, in my opinion, it starts with ones own self.
