  1. my dr and his nurses gave me a list that could help gas x liquid tylenol (i use the cvs brand) immodium ad (my dr approved) probotics (my dr approval post op to help regulate) and dr prescribed me anti nausea meds hope this helps
  2. i thought i knew the name but had to look it up to be sure.. http://phen375.com/en/ i saw the words (diet pills)..to me this is not needed when one has the lap band. i personally feel someone who buys these things are wasting money into that (quick fire wight loss cycle) only to be disappointed. For less than $3.80 per day! *Become slimmer faster than ever before* sorry, i dont feel anyone should waste money on this after having a WLS.
  3. i had 2 1/2 weeks liquids on my pre op...day 4 and 5 were my hardest...i really thought id die and or starve...i was whining one day to my hub and he said, you wanted this surgery, so do what you have to do to make it happen..i read, i watched tv, i stayed on this forum and read and made friends, watched you tube on stories of the band....and tried to get my head into the game........here i am...and so will you be...
  4. i asked my dr about midol as i have bad cramps also...he advised me to take liquid tylenol (so i take the cvs brand)..def seems to help..having a hot bath helps me also. hope you feel better soon
  5. i remember when i broke from the 300's...what a great feeling. just keep going...never look back...you are doing so great..what a success story
  6. i had that also and it hurt to take deep breaths esp with that little doo hickey i had to use for a week for breathing treatments ouch but i rested, used my pain meds and each day it got better and yours will too
  7. opinions will vary the opinion that matters is your dr and what they want you to do in regards to carbonation, mine said no..so no it is

  10. well chicka, i guess it depends on what your dr advises you pre and post op wise in regards to liquids, mushies, soft etc....i am hoping they give you guidelines and def talk to a nutritionist to advise you of the band portions and better quality foods to eat.. i will def help as best i can...am so excited...cant wait til you say the date
  11. some dr's say yes some dr's say no the one i listen to is my dr and he says no, so no it is (same with carbonation)

  14. i agree, id like one and i have edited my response too but there have been times i would have just as soon stayed off a thread especially when mud slinging starts..

  16. let me add sister sharon.. be your own self.....give support, find some understanding, ignore nonsense and just accept we are all different..life is to short...make it count
  17. i agree with mad and miss, just do what your dr and nutritionist advises you to do. some people do low carb, some carb cycle, some all veggie, some this some that.. doesnt really matter what (diet) it is called...dont get hung up on which is better.. as long as it is filling (lean Proteins, veggies, fruit), and in your allotted portions, you cant go wrong. the next 2 months will fly by

  19. 3 to 4 months post op, alot showed up in the drain but dr said protein protein....completely stopped...

  21. i have tricare prime north my starting bmi was 62..no other issues besides being super morbid obese my pcd referred me to trcare for this surgery once tricare did, i had to fulfill all requirements and then submit for approval per my ins (my hub is retired) i did not have a 6 month wait
  22. add me to the list of no's i choose to not eat bread/pasta/rice/potato i just prefer to eat more filling foods...but do what works for you.
