  4. Oh my goodness ... thank you sooooooooo much!!! I don't count my calories ... I guess I should do that ... however I am following the nutrionist's diet plan for me. I eat everything as she listed on the meal plan. I do go to the gym ... every day for 30 min of cardio. I also do some walking after that. I did drop the 4lbs. but i was worried about the whole restriction thing.
  5. I posted this back in Feb. : Hey everyone. I got banded in July. By the time it was August, I had lost 20 pounds. I was 235 lbs. I went for a fill in September and they said I gained 5 pounds. Now I was 220. I went back in November for a fill again then they said my weight was the same - 220. I went back in January and I was the same weight yet again - 220. I went in today and I'm the same damn weight - 220. Why am I not losing weight? I am doing my best with eating right. I do go to the gym ... I just don't get it. The doctor says I need a few more adjustments before I can really lose weight. He promised that I'll lose weight as long as I keep eating right and exercising. Does anyone have tips? Is it true that you can not be losing or gaining weight? I'm just stressed out over this. Fast forward to March .... I was 230 lbs when I went to the doctor. I cried my eyes out because I gained weight. I told the doctor that I get very hungry and I still don't feel restriction .... again ... I was told NOT to worry. I worked out and went to the gym and I had an appointment on 4/23/13 and I have lost 4 lbs. OK ... so I lost some weight BUT I still don't feel restriction. I do portion out my meals and I am eating healthy (lots of Protein too) but I don't feel any restriction like I did post op. What is wrong? Is my band eroded? Did it slip? I'm so scared because I don't want to tell my family.
  6. as of recently my clothes felt more snug .... and i feel like my face is getting fatter .... i spoke to my doctor and the dietician gave me a meal plan that im going to follow. how much exercise should i be getting?
  7. Hmm that's interesting cause my other fill I felt restriction right away ... this time I didn't. I did get info and a diet plan but I admit there were times where I ate bad foods .... but I'm just depressed over the fact that I'm dumping money into this and its not working. I mean I haven;t lost a pound since August. : (
  8. Thanks for that information. I should take in more Protein ... But is it normal for the weight loss to stall ?
  9. He doesnt tell me how many cc's ... He injects me ... and then gives me Water ... then tells me if it went down. The first time I went I felt full quick. Now I haven;t felt that way ... he said to give it time. I eat 3 meals. I recently cut coffee out because I think that might be what is in my way from losing weight. When will it happen tho ... I feel soooooo discouraged and everyone around me keeps asking when I'll lose weight.
  10. And from December to now - I feel extremely hungry. I just got a fill today and I feel like I could eat everything in sight.

  12. I do have a doctor here in NJ to speak to but I have not made the effort to call. I was given a guide and a DVD by the doctor in Jordan. I just had some questions only because I'm wondering what's going on. I appreciate everyone's responses. I was feeling really overwhelmed - I'm more at ease right now.

  14. Hello all. My name is Fatima and I live in NJ. Last month on July 19th I got the lap band done by a doctor in Jordan. Prior to surgery I was 235 lbs. I am now down to 220 lbs. I have a few questions: I came home to NJ last Monday and since then I have not lost any weight. Is that alright? Also, I'm wondering what exercises are most effective. When I wake up I don't feel like eating at all. When I do eat my Breakfast (and I really don't even eat much) I feel full after a few bites. Is that normal? I've also been watching what I eat, however this week I started crunching on some bad chips. It's a snack size bag and prior to my surgery I used to eat the big bags without feeling guilty. Is there an alternative to chips? What crunchy foods are tasty and yummy to snack on? I still feel some pain from time to time on the port site. Is that alright? I'm also unsure of when I need to schedule an appointment for a fill. I know I have so many questions and I hope someone can answer at least one. :-P Thanks so much!!!
