  1. It really hasn't been hard at all for me... Just one of those things I had to do to make this work. Now I'm really just used to not drinking w/ meals, and I don't miss it:) U should be ok.
  2. Just think... Is it worth it? No. You had the surgery because you want to change. You need a change. Go slow, maybe get baked chips, or special K chips and look at the serving size. I know it's hard. I'm going through bandster he'll myself right now, but we have made a drastic decision to have surgery. Surgery was a HUGE step/ decision so now we have to help ourselves. I'm not saying stop eating chips completely, but baby steps. If u know ur gonna eat the entire bag, then try not to buy it. Best of luck!! Were all I'm this together!!!!
  3. Canned tuna/chicken, canned chili, beans, eggs, oatmeal, I am actually saving money eating healthy!
  4. My 1st was 2.5, my 2nd was also 2.5 for a total of 5.0. I still have no restriction.0k, maybe a tad bit at breakfast/lunchtime but at dinner time I can eat like a beast! Hoping and praying my 3rd fill on the 29th is a charm!!!!
  5. Hi there! Welcome. So how has your experience been? Any complications?
  6. I'm guilty too... I was really good all day, but come dinner time I had a small piece of meat calzone, 2 spicy buffalo wings, and perhaps the worst offender....: 1/2 slice of cheesecake! Ahhh! I also made the mistake to look at the calories afterwards, a whopping 500 calories per slice! OMG! (good thing I only had 1/2..)
  7. Thank you Sabrina! Yes, hope you all have an awesome day;)
  8. Thank you Elcee, as always your insight is awesome. Thanks for saying I'm doing great, the encouragement just makes me want this more!
  9. There are plenty of healthy choices in cruises, just eat 3x a day as you would at home, choose fruits and eggs for breakfast, salads and meats for lunch, and soups, veggies and seafoods for dinner and you should do great. At 1 month post op you just gotta make choices as if you were on any other diet, as you probably will not feel restriction yet. The best advice I could give you (coming from a frequent cruiser) is stay away from the midnight buffet!!!!!! Lol It's sooooo tempting but so much junk food it's insane!!!!
  10. You got it Chris;) Trust me no hard feelings. We are defenitly all in this together, all here for eachother. Blessings your way as well!! Take care....
  11. Thanks Marketingdude... Wishing you all the best in the world!
  12. Thank you Cocoa, for making me feel reassured:) I sure hope Im as successful ad you are!!!
  13. Thanks for the encouragement Marketingdude... My starting weight was 163. I have a small frame and am around 5 ft tall....I need to lose 45 pounds to reach my goal weight. As of this morning I'm down 21 pounds, 24 more to go. My doctor predicts that by September I should be there, so I'm moving right along. I'm sure if I exercised more it would be quicker, but I'll take it. Slowly but surely!
  14. You will get there.... We all will be sexy little critters in no time!!!!!
  15. Congrats!!!!! How much did you lose total!!? That is awesome!
  16. Elcee, have you always suffered from reflux or it began 2 years after your band? Was reflux the only reason for your unfill?
  17. Get a ride please:)
  18. Ooohh I had sushi last weekend... Sooo awesome. All went down perfectly fine, but I have since had my 2nd fill. Next time we go out for sushi I'll be sure to order my miso just in case!!!
  19. Thank you Cazzy. But doesn't it slip right through the band into the larger stomach as 2muchfun mentioned earlier?
  20. We will get there!! I am on fill #2, have 5cc in my band. I only feel restriction in the late am, closer to lunch time. My next fill will be may 29th. I'm hoping that 3rd times a charm!!
  21. Yes I haven't had a waffle in ages! When were u banded? How has your progress been? I was banded 2/14/12 and down 19 lbs so far. Slowly but surely.
  22. Thanks 2much.... Yes, a nice crisp side salad beats a soup anytime! I was just wondering About it being a no-no or not before meals.
  23. I also tried it before lap band. Lost 30 lbs in 30 days as promised. Also gained 30 in 30 days as not mentioned!! Lpl
  24. Does having a small bowl of soup before dinner contradict the "no liquids before eating" rule? Just curious cause I know it's common especially at restaurants to order a small soup prior to the meal. Feels kinda good though while everyone else is pigging out on buffalo wings and chili cheese fries!!! Lol
