  1. Congrats on your band! As fas as my experience I have never had the band get in the way of anything. I've done yoga, pilates and various other forms of exercise/activites and have never felt it or found it got in the way of something. You really can't overeat unless it's food that goes down easy like ice cream or chocolate but again that is my experience. I think everyones is a little different. My biggest problem is remembering to chew my food completely and taking smaller bites. I still have problems with what foods I can and can't eat. I think if I could live as a vegan or vegetarian food would be a little easier to eat. However I do like meat but have a problem eating certain cuts depending on how they are cooked. There will be a learning curve but you'll get used to it and figure out what is best for you. Best of luck!
  2. Hi, I've lost 100lbs total but I go up and down 20lbs every now and then. My port disconnected and I need to have it fixed but am concerned about going back to Mexico at this time. I'm looking for other people's experience in Mexico to see if there are safety issues. Overall I've had a positive experience; I loved my surgeon Dr. Kuri. I would love to lose another 40lbs but having kept off 100lbs for the past 10 years I'm pretty happy!

  4. Hi, i had my lap band put in by Dr. Kuri almost 10 years ago. I've had a really good experience up until now; my port has disconnected. Since I was self pay I will need to go back to Mexico to have it fixed. Has anyone been to Tijuana lately and if so how safe is it? Thanks for the help! Mixxie
  5. Hi, Just wanted to stop by and say I'm new to the forum. I got my band almost 10 years and am having a few issues so I will ask my questions there. Best to all! Mixxie
