Mother's Day Madness!

Yesterday was Mother's day, and my family came over for a pot luck snack, i made a fruit platter, and made crystal light peach ice tea. Other family members brought, salad, and some made bad choices. Lol like mini meat pies, mini taco cups etc. It was a hard day for me. Im on my 90 day pre op diet. I have been doing very well, but i ate my portions of things i was aloud to have, then i had a few bites of things i was not aloud to have. Later that night i felt it, i felt crapy physicaly, and even had a very loose BM. ( tmi i know sorry) any ways the point of this post is i needed to just say i cheated on Mothers day, it made me sick and i gained 3lbs back. I learned my lesson! Wont let that happen again. But i feel bad for my moment of weakness :(

It happens. I did the same thing yesterday to. I have been really good since surgery about eating good healthy food and sticking to the plan pretty well, but I did cheat yesterday with a Red velvet, cream cheese cupcake for mothers day, my all time favorite. But, I also feel like after losing 45# since January, if that is the worst I an do I am doing pretty good so far. I just don't want to get into feeling like I have given up everything I love for this surgery and end up returning to old habbits later, because I feel like I am giving up too much. I think, sometimes you need to give in as a treat to yourself and not kick yourself for doing so. Just don't make a regular habit of it and you shoud be ok and remember chew, chew chew and quit when you get to your limit, even if you haven't finished it.

I'm guilty too...

I was really good all day, but come dinner time I had a small piece of meat calzone, 2 spicy buffalo wings, and perhaps the worst offender....: 1/2 slice of cheesecake! Ahhh!

I also made the mistake to look at the calories afterwards, a whopping 500 calories per slice! OMG! (good thing I only had 1/2..)

Keep in mind some of the weight is water gain since the food was probably high in salt. I went to my neices Crew races Sat and Mothers Day yesterday. My scale says I gained 4 pounds this weekend. On Sat I did a four mile walk and then at the races did probably another 2. So I have trouble believing I ate 12,000 calories excess that could go to fat.
