  8. Thank u Concept and Cristy! I pretty much follow the band rules 98% of the time! Lol I just had an unfill actually b/c I was getting reflux and getting stuck w/anything. I have about 5CC in my band, and can eat anything. I bought little 1/2 cup containers to bring to work w/me and thats how I measure my food. I probably should exercise though yo tone up! That's my downfall. Well...., let's share some before and after pics!! I would love to see this thread grow!
  9. The before was 2 days before my band in February 2012... The after was today!

  11. Let's do it! Before...
  12. Hi there! Im sure I dont go over 1100 calories a day, wine included. I weigh and measure everything I eat, and if I decide to go for that 2nd glass, then I'll just have 1/4 cup of frozen yogurt for dessert instead of the 1/2 serving. Besides, dont they say red wine is good for the heart? (in moderation, ofcourse!)
  13. I have a glass (sometimes2) glasses of red wine a night and I have been losing weight at an awesome pace. I love the fact that it fits right into my daily caloric intake and I couldn't be happier with my weightloss. I have not had to give up anything I love, and that's why I LOVE MY BAND!!!
  14. I'm Cuban so I need my shot of expresso every morning..... Cant live w/o it! It also supresses( not enhances) my apetite. My surgeon did not tell me to avoid it, so I'm drinking it as I always have. My weight is still melting off, I feel great, so "LONG LIVE COFFEE!!!!!!!"
  15. Thank you Amy!!!! Best of luck!!! And congrats!
  16. Morninstar makes delicious veggie patties high in protein that taste just like sausage! I usually have 1 of those, a cheese stick, and a "little champions" chobani yogurt....(made for kids but the perfect size for us!)
  17. You should be fine... I had 2 glasses of red wine 2 weeks after surgery and it was heaven. It didn't affect me any different and I am still losing weight!
  18. Does sound like u guys are too tight. I just got 0.75CC removed and still feel awesome restriction, but now w/o the pain and tightness!
  19. OMG mine sticks out like s baby alien! And I have a low profile one....
  20. I was banded 2/14/12... Valentines day! It's been a great journey thus far. I sure feel good this morning and hope it continues. Thank you for all your well wishes!
  21. So I've been feeling mild reflux for a couple weeks now... Nothing crazy, took a few tums and it was gone. Saturday I could barely eat breakfast, lunch, or dinner. I woke up at 2:00am coughing and with aweful reflux. I had to work that day and felt HORRIBLE, could not eat or drink... As if my band had clamped shut. I felt like I had a rock in the center of my chest. I must have vomited 12 times yesterday. I was so scared. I called my doctor and he told me to come in 1st thing this morning, he wanted to give me an unfill, because all of my symptoms suggested my band was too tight this whole time and something must have gotten stuck. He took out 0.75cc..... Instant relief. I drank 2 cups of water no problem, thank God. He did wright me a prescription for an xray incase symptoms come back to check for a slip....OMG I never thought I would hear those words! I have been such a good little bandster following the rules. Anyways, so far so good. No pain, and no reflux.
  22. I also miss your advice!! Please keep posting here, like u said who cares what others think! There are people on here (like Myself) who have not had the pre op counseling and need successful motivated people like you to help us through our journeys!! Oh yeah, almost forgot; CONGRATULATIONS!!!
