Inpatient Or Outpatient?
I stayed the night and am so glad. I also live alone with a 3 year old though so I wouldve had a hard time without any help, I think. I guess if you have someone at home waiting for you, staying in the hospital can feel confining, but for both this and my last surgery, I opt to stay as long as I can. Its nice to be catered to and to have instant answers to my questions and concerns. The iv pain meds are wonderful too

Steri-Strips
My dr said takint them off around day ten was totally fine...i just took em off around day 7 cuz they seemed less like steri and more like scary...no problems. If its uncomfortable while trying to remove em, leave them be but I just felt cleaner without them.

72 Hours Post-Op... Over Did It!
Despite the fact that I have 'no restriction', I feel very full off soup! I could only drink a few ounces at a time when I was as far out as you...a whole bowl was def not happening! Drink veryyy slowly and assess how you feel every few sips. If you feel like you CAN stop, do. Come back to it if youre feeling unsatisfied.

Nervous About Going Under
i was only banded in late january but its been just fine so far. My dr is a little extreme in that ive been on liquids for 7 weeks...that sucks... But I get my first fill tmrw and wilk be able to start solids on sunday. The most painful part of the whole process by far has been my fear. I really do feel like myself and am amazed at what little nourishment I can thrive on, and still have energy! Im really optimistic about the future for a change..

Nervous About Going Under
I was awake during my csection and being put under is wayy preferable in my opinion! They had to tranquilize me halfway through the surgery, I was freaking out so bad. I hate not being in control and not knowing whats going on but knocking me oyt

Nervous About Going Under
I found reading through the 'surgery day stories' calmed my nerves a lot. I was very frightened too. I was crying right before they put me under (no idea how they did it, didn't see it coming), and I woke up still crying, confused and begging them to put me back under! Lol. Its really over before you know it.

4 Days Post-Op And Lots Of Pressure Under My Ribs
the restiction is possibly most attributable to the swelling...but even 6 weeks out and without a fill, I often feel terribly full after a half cup of cream soup!

Do You Feel Full??
There are nerves at the top of the stomach that when stimulated, tell our brains that our stomach is full. Bandsters, when at proper restriction, fill their pouches with much less food and stimulate these nerves sooner. If we all stopped eating when we were full though, most of us wouldnt be overweight in the first place. There are other side effects such as, yes, bringing food up, when we've had too much. I think banded individuals who are diligent and willing to work with their doctors can certainly feel satisfied after a few fills.

New To Lbt. Soon To Be Bandster March 14Th....
Zero support... everyone thought I was crazy for doing it. Youre not getting banded for other people so dont let others' opinions ever get you down! Eyes on the prize. whars

Oh, you already ordered it...well, bottoms up! what flavor you get? I used them for my clear liquid preop only.

Has Anyone Tried Isopure Zero Carb Drinks?
Its a fast way to get your protein in but they aren't tasty and leave little bits of congealed protein goo in your mouth sometimes. Im not usually a grape fan but found it to be the most tolerable if you wanna give it a try. Please try a single bottle before investing in a case!

Hunger, Full, Or Overfull???
Im a month out and still get that feeling; for me its most definitely gas. I try and burp but usually to no avail...it passes after a moment.

How Long Were You Out?
I work at a call center too, I went back 4 days post op and was fine. You dont feel 100% but you're not physically straining yourself in such a sedentary job....

Is It The Band, Or Just Me?
You're risking a lot of things more important than a CC...please keep your health in mind! Try taking one cc out and just knuckle down with the smart food choices. You need to stay hydrated.

New To The Site And Considering Lap Band
I picked the lap band because I couldn't stand the thought of stomach cutting...ive only got one of those things and it needs to last me a while! I hope this band will continue to help me lose weight and stay with me for a long long time but if for any reason it becomes problematic, I can have it removed. Good luck!

Too Little Weight Loss?
Its been said a million times, I know, but remember that we didn't gain the weight over night (nor in 6 months, in most cases!), so we cant be expected to lose it that fast. Some people on here have lost at rates that just seem INSANE, and its easy to get envious, but you sound like youre doing great so please keep up the good work and be proud of your increasingly awesome body!
