  1. Frozen yogurt and ensure has a lot of sugars. My surgeon and NUT advises against those because of the sugars and calories.
  2. I love my skinniness now. I have so much more energy now. I really like it when my family notices that I've lost weight.
  3. I'd be more concerned now that they would feel my saggy skin. LOL That is interesting though. I was told at the orientation that the titanium staples wouldn't trigger those devices when traveling. Now I know what to expect.
  4. It's frustrating when our wishes are not taken into consideration. Did he say he was sorry? I would tell him how upset you are at him. However, now those people are going to be watching you become skinny, and loving your skinniness.
  5. Cody is sausage a soft ? I can't believe you ate all that at 10 days out. Too me, I wouldn't have been able to eat 1/4th of that amount. Please be careful you don't bust your sleeve open, your still healing.
  6. Interesting that you had trouble with the pronunciation of the "R." I also had speech therapy in school and could never get the correct pronunciation of button. LOL You do have a very calming voice.
  7. My DH took me, waited till the surgery was done and then went to work. I perferred it that way cause I used the Morphine pump to help me sleep. I slept pretty much the whole time, or else I would have escaped due to boredom. LOL I was fine, no problems whats so ever.
  8. Will you email me one @ dorrierobles2003@yahoo.com. Thanks
  9. The first sip isn't really that painful, there's a little discomfort because the stomach is swollen. Just take very tiny sips. It will be fine.
  10. I have read where some feel like a Mac truck ran over them. But that's to be expected after a major surgery. the only part I found painful was getting up and down in the bed. That's because of the incision site. I took full advantage of my morphine pump so that I could sleep through my time at the hospital. I don't think I really needed it though. After leaving the hospital, it was no problem. Some people have even slept in his/her recliner. No worries, it will be worth it!
  11. It is frustrating to have to jump through so many hoops to get this procedure, but well worth it. Congrats!
  12. Sharon: You look absolutely amazing! What a great transformation! you look so happy and also healthy. XOXOXOXO!
  13. Try not to think about the surgery. It will come even if you don't worry about it. Do something fun this weekend and celebrate a new life to come.
  14. Yep, I finally broke down and had my daughter take a pic of me to share. i'm not sure I like the pic though. LOL
  15. Protein drinks from grocery stores typically have too much sugar. I drink the Premier shakes from Costco.
  16. Wouldn't want to hurt your stomach! LOL Great news and congrats!
  17. You are absolutely right! It is well worth it though!
  18. It will get better every day. Just take it one day at a time and walk as much as possible. CONGRATS! Welcome to the BIG LOSER'S BENCH!
  19. I use to get hives when I was highly stressed. Took benadryl too and they went away! But like Lissa says, it's best to check with the surgeon first since surgery in coming up really soon.
  20. I was shedding hair at around 3 months post op and finally stopped shedding at 7 months post op. I was taking biotin and silica which helps with hair and nail regrowth. Man I've had hair growth in places I didn't want it too grow plus have to do some extra grooming now. LOL I love that my hair is finally growing.
  21. This sounds so delicious! Thank you for sharing.
  22. WLS is such a blessing in disguise! I love my sleeve. I just worry too much about gaining the weight back. On a good note, I am really working on eating slower! An enjoying my food.
  23. It really sounds to me like you are dehydrated. I know you had an appt with your surgeon and he/she would have picked up on this, but it doesn't seem like they did. I might suggest uping your water intake with the protein intake too. It couldn't hurt. I might also drink some low calorie G2 Gatorade to help replace some of your electrolytes. All and all, this couldn't hurt any. I got dehydrated somewhat and got dizzy and almost fainted. If your dehydrated it can cause your blood to thicken and your heart rate to become low also. It is also known to cause fatigue. I'm not a doctor, but I am an advocate for hydrating ourselves.
  24. Coops: So glad your back! I'm now in a funk, but need to get back into my positive zone. We will have periods like that and we just need to work through them. Hugs across the pond!
