  1. I use to eat the sugar free pudding. it is delish! Now I drink my protein shakes. BTW, we don't have a pouch, we still have about 15% of our stomach.
  2. Kysia: Aren't you worried about getting a leak in your staple line? It's not completely healed until 6 months out and right now your staple line is just scabbing over. ???????
  3. So proud of you! You have Rocked that Sleeve! Doesn't it feel good to be successful? CONGRATS!
  4. Wow! When was your surgery? I really would like to know an answer for this too!
  5. The PPI's started working within a week for me. I take omeprazole 2 times a day.
  6. VJSLIM: Yes this is me. I got brave and had my daughter take a pic and I posted it.
  7. Now that's an NSV! CONGRATS!
  8. My thoughts and prayers are with you. You will do great! Let us know how you do.
  9. No problem with driving if your not taking pain meds. When you go walking, do you have a binder you can wear to give your stomach some support? that would help a 1,000 times. Keep it up.
  10. It sounds so delicious! What to choose from? I am so hungry and I've already devoured all my calories. Oh well, tomorrow is another day!
  11. I was watching the Dr's Show today and they were discussing eating with our hands and how that slows us up in eating. I thought that was interesting and that is what I will be doing for now on. Eating with my hands and I am even going to play with it! That will slow me down. If it doesn't then I'll have my hubby tie my right hand behind my back! LOL
  12. This sounds so good. I will have to make some.
  13. I highly recommend that you drink some low calorie G2 Gatorade. It helps prevent dehydration.
  14. I'm so excited tomorrow is your day! You will do great! Saving a spot on the BIG LOSER'S BENCH for you!
  15. I know you said you don't think this is acid. If I was you, I would try taking something like prilosec, nexium, or other PPI's with your Dr's consent. I know that I wasn't told by my surgeon to take this and I was always hungry. When I finally started taking my omeprazole, my hunger went away. I also was getting my hunger triggers and my thrist triggers mixed up. Now I make sure I get in my water before eating. This is just a suggestion, you have only something to gain to try this. It pretty much sucks to be hungry all the time. I know, I was there. Best Wishes!
  16. What helps me is that I made sure that I had my protein drink before preparing food for my family. It helped a lot.
  17. Hey, I'm 8 months post op and have had no complications. Weight loss is a little slow right now. I weight 149 lbs and my personal goal is to get to 130 - 135 lbs. I have a bounce weight of 2 - 3 lbs but I think everyone does. I really need to kick up my exercising. I find every excuse not to do it and am finding myself in a funk. Need to kick my A$$.........LOL I love my skinniness! My posture has changed drastically.
  18. This is very frustrating for you, yet another obstacle to keep you from succeeding. I would contact other docs in Mexico. I reason your opting for this surgery is because of your obesity. Don't give up, I hear Dr Aceves and Dr Garcia are really excellent surgeons! Don't give up, it can be done. Praying for you.
  19. You guys are destined to be sleeved! Yep, I can't wait for you to join us on the BIG LOSER'S BENCH! LOL
  20. I won't have left hardly any tip at all. That was not service, just rudeness!
  21. I'm so happy you went to the hospital and found your blood clot. you've had more than your share of complications and it is very frustrating. But, on the other hand, you will regain your health and begin a new life style. My prayers are with you, hang in there.
  22. CONGRATS! Your almost there! yep, it's gonna happen!
  23. It's totally amazing to be losing 1 lb per day! You are really Rockin that Sleeve! Keep it up!
  24. Lissa is absolutely right! Go back to the Surgeon's and don't let them off the hook! Mean while drink some Gatorade if you can and try to keep as hydrated as possible. Let us know how your doing. Very concerned for you.
  25. My best friend does this to me. Last time I seen her she said, "I can't handle your skinniness!" It made me kinda sad but on the other hand, it puts a big smile on my face! Others are use to seeing us at our heaviest and it is a drastic change for them to see us shed our weight. I love my skinniness and have a personal goal of about 130 to 135 lbs. But, I will always be watching what I eat, lean proteins, veggies, with a little starches.
