  1. Probably might want to take some zinc. That would help. They did surgery on my FIL when he had a cough, said it's helpful to get the stuff moving in the lungs.
  2. My NUT and doc told us to use the whey protein. So I drink the Premier Protein drink from Costco or Sam's club and it has been very effective for me. Plus it tastes really good.
  3. My PCP told me that it is a misnomer that we can eat anything we want bc we are eating smaller portions. It was also proven by my A1C climbing again after eating small amounts of candy. So I know that I need to eat healthy in order to maintain my health and weight and that means, lean, low fat, lots of veggie way of eating. And this is for life. Yep! I have a life sentence on me. I do love my skinniness!
  4. COOPS ~ Before my surgery I had an IUD inserted called the MIRENA bc I am peri menopausal and have had no difficulties. My OB/GYN also had me wearing a Climara patch for hormone therapy and I was bleeding constantly still. My surgeon had me stop the patches and I did. Even after surgery I didn't start back up on the patch because my bleeding had stopped. i had been bleeding for about a couple of months, very annoying. The Mirena IUD has no side effects for me and I haven't had a period since. Thankful to the core for this. That stupid nurse was a total, inconsiderate B****! I would talk with her supervisor about her unprofessional behaviors. I hope things get better and you get your energy back soon. This is probably a stupid question but, did they test your B12 vitamin level? Can you increase your B12 to see if it helps?
  5. Thank you for the info. It is a wise decision to have this test. Best wishes towards good health!
  6. This is an even better reason to have chosen the surgery! LOL The scale just gives you #'s. The weight loss is the same and so it's all good. My scale is somewhat crazy. I weight in the AM and it said I way152.6, then less than 1 minute later, I step on it and it saids I weigh 156.4, so then I really have to check it one more time and it saids 154.6 lbs. So which is it? I always choose the lessor one of course. But my scale is a weight watcher's scale and cost me a pretty penny about a year ago. I think I like my old one better. Hehehehehe My scale lies to me and really deserves a time out for bad behavior!
  7. This is so much fun to hear about! You are doing great and pretty soon those 20's will be way toooooooooo big! Yayyyyyyyyyyyyyy!!
  8. I never have this problem. I went to the health food store and purchased small capsule vitamins or caplets. i just drink them with water and then eat something. I can take up to 6 of my vitamins at a time with no difficulties. Now the larger tablet size vitamins I want even try. Hope this helps.
  9. CONGRATS! I am a little confused but that's ok. Have you had your surgery or are you on your pre-opt diet? You have done really well on losing weight. Twenty five lbs in 3 weeks is nothing to sneeze at!
  10. You have done a fantastic job! Great transformation to the new you!
  11. Glad to have a new family member on our journey!
  12. These are great transformations! You have done a great job.
  13. I drink the Premier shakes from Costco. They are delicious and taste's like a desert.
  14. I found my ring next to the wall in my bedroom!
  15. What is this test? and what is it for? Just curious.
  16. I love the transformation! You are doing a great job on keeping on track. I am really going to get myself in gear and post a pic really soon. I am just about 8 months post op so that's 1 month behind you.
  17. What if you cause a leak in your staple line from eating solids? Would it be worth cheating? Please take better care of yourself and not eat solids until later when your stapleline is healed.
  18. Numbers are nice, but the inches are more important to me! I love my skinniness!
  19. If you have to have the bread, then toast it first. Otherwise bread will expand in your stomach and take up valuable space for more nutritional foods. My stomach doesn't like bread anymore. I avoid it as much as possible.
  20. I'm all for doing everything surgically at one time. Put's less stress on our body and it's done and over with at once! Yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  21. I didn't get this option. Dam it, I would have really wanted to see my stomach! Thanks for sharing.
  22. I AM DONE MOOING: We are also your chosen family now and we support you 100%.
