Bread

Question I'm 6 weeks post opt I would like to eat a chicken salad sandwich with wheat bread will this hurt me? I have not had any bread since my procedure. I normally eat the sandwich less the bread. Talk to me VSG family!!!!!

every surgeon is different but mine says no untoasted bread until 3 months out. hope this helps!

If you have to have the bread, then toast it first. Otherwise bread will expand in your stomach and take up valuable space for more nutritional foods. ;)

My stomach doesn't like bread anymore. I avoid it as much as possible.

I am almost 4 months out and just had a piece of bread with chicken salad, could only eat 1/2 of it. I think if you toast the bread you would be ok.
