  1. It could be worth a try. But I don't see it happening if it hasn't happened already. You have lost a significant amount of weight! Great job! Keep it up.
  2. Let the Roller Coaster Ride begin! You will do great! Healing thoughts to you!
  3. Kathy ~ This is old habits coming back to bit you in the A$$. Now is the time to change those habits by doing what your doing. Getting rid of all the junk food in your cubboards and keeping nothing but healthy stuff in there. This is not an easy journey, but it is doable. I am 7.5 months out and I wasn't eating the best. I've noticed on MFP that I have easily reached the 1200 calorie mark with food where before I struggled with getting in 900. I haven't been losing weight, my weight has been fluctuating. So now I am re-evaluating my food intake and getting rid of the snacking habits I have gotten into, throwing away the junk, and making my adult children get their junk out of my kitchen and chosing more healthier foods. This we can do. You are now reckoning the bad habits creeping back in and you can make the changes now. You hadn't really changed that behavior before now. And once you change a behavior like snacking, it is really important to replace the habit with something healthy. Maybe take a walk instead, call a friend or loved one. You can make this change just like I am revamping my diet. THROW ALL THE JUNK CALORIES IN THE TRASH AND GET OFF THE SUGAR, IT IS ADDICTING. We can do this!
  4. I can't wait to hear more! LOL Can I help?
  5. I was on an eating less diet for about 12 weeks and did 1 day of liquid the day before my surgery.
  6. When I over due it, my left side gets really sore all the time.
  7. my family eat my left overs. I'm learning to cook less and also when going out to eat with friends or family, I am just going to take bites from theirs. They all smiled when I told them anyways. they also share with each other and gives us a bigger variety to sample. Love it!
  8. There are absolutely no guarantees in life. However, your sleep apnea can kill you with or without the surgery. This surgery is a cure for your sleep apnea. Everyone is scare when going in for surgery. For me, I was so scare I really wanted to run away and almost did. But it was like a deep sleep and before I knew it, it was over and I was in recovery. So happy I did it. It would be a great idea to talk with the doc about your experience and the anesthesiologist to make the best decision for the surgery.
  9. Dancing for you! CONGRATS!
  10. I use to be addicted to diet Pepsi. I haven't had any since last november and will not even take a sip because I know I will get addicted again. I don't want it to do anything to my stomach's staple line or cause any other complications.
  11. Let the roller coaster ride begin! Welcome!
  12. I miss riding my old bikes! Seen some guy riding on the back wheel on the freeway yesturday and it actually scared me! Now I just bought a Schwinn and need to get the nerve up to ride it. LOL
  13. My surgeon doesn't do blood work until a year out if no complications. however, I did ask my PCP for some blood workup and he was happy to order them for me. Everything was great and that was 3 months post op. Love it, I love my skinniness and wouldn't trade it for the world.
  14. Sounds kind of yucky to me. I like my Premier shakes so I will stick with them.

I am going to start having salads, I have a thing about eating lettuce with no nutritional value. But I have been missing them and do eat a little bite here and there.
  16. Your PCp will most likely be the one to call. Most Docs won't touch another surgeon's patient. So if no PCP then an Urgent Care would be the next best option.
  17. That is so encouraging to me. I am 7.5 months out and my weight bounces. Today feeling somewhat down but am working at bringing myself back up. I love my skinniness and wouldn't give it up for anything. I'm just stuck on those stupid #'s. Thank you so much for sharing. You made me happy .
  18. I use it before and after. I picture what I want or need and it helps sooth's my nerves. I use it with my clients in private practice.
  19. It is so frustrating when others are inconsiderate in the things we're trying to change. It sounds like your in a little bit of depression and need to get out and exercise to lift some of the depression. I am 7.5 months post op and today I feel down. I do feel down when others bring around M&M's peanuts and chips. I hate watching my husband eat and others. I get really impatient with them. I really want them to eat healthy. Yesturday we all went to Mimi's and ordered lunch. I told them that this was the last time I am going to order my own meal and that I will being taking bites from their's. They were all ok with that. That's such a big variety I'll have. So let's get out of our funk, dust our pants off, and jump back into the game! We are winner's! Oh and tell your boyfriend that it's not ok to sabotage your diet!
  20. I use guided imagery in all areas of my life! It works!
  21. Tylenol with cod is in the majority of pharmacies and doesn't have too bad of a taste. I had to take it instead of the vicodin because vicodin stimulates me and kept me up for 3 nights and days. Blahhhhhhhhhhhh!
  22. As I am telling you to be patient, I realize that I have given up today. I let myself have anything I wanted which were not that great. So it's back on track for me tomorrow. Gotta cut the sugar again and the carbs. LOL Tomorrow is a new day, and exercise will be first thing in the AM.
