I'm one month and a few days out from surgery. Besides the day after surgery in the morning that haven't done any blood tests on me. Is that normal? I'm thinking they should have done one by now...???

My surgeon doesn't do blood work until a year out if no complications. however, I did ask my PCP for some blood workup and he was happy to order them for me. Everything was great and that was 3 months post op. Love it, I love my skinniness and wouldn't trade it for the world.

I had blood work at 6 months post-op and again at 12 months, now it's scheduled for annually.

Ok. I guess it's not that strange then.

I was thinking the same thing. I was told I will have labs at my 6 month and yearly appointments. It feels weird that I won't have to go back for 6 months but my doctor office encouraged me to come in before if needed.

I had my first post op bloodwork done at my 2 month appt, they wanted to make sure my vitamin levels were ok. I go in at 6 months and they do another set of bloodwork. All Docs are different as I see it the above posts.

I have to go in this week then every three months for a year.
