  2. debbie- congrats on making it this far, i know it has'nt been easy. im going in for my pre=op tommorrow. cant wait !! if youre wavering on surgery let me ask you this....if you dont have surgery you'll still be a year older and sad and unhealthy on your next b-day. or if you do have surgery you be lighter, happier and healthy on your next b-day. so which do you want to be? also, think what a great example you'll be setting for your grandkids. how do you want them to remember you ? Hope this can help your mindset..... wish you the best of luck, Think positive!!!

  5. i have heard from others that black yoga pants are the best thing to buy as your weight goes down. they have a stretchy top that accomadates your stomach as it shrinks, you can bend and stretch in them, and being plain black they can be used for casual wear or made more dressy for work with a pretty top. Wal mart has a good, inexpensive selection.

  7. approved yesterday by bluecross/blueshield !!!! my pre=opp appt is tues nov 22. Can anyone tell me what the pre op diet generally consist of ? Im not concerned about sticking to it, i know its just temporary. im more concerned because i have a tendancy to get low blood sugar and get wobbly if i dont eat something like pb or a protein bar when i need to . any ideas ?
  8. hi amy, i was just approved yesterday (!!!!!!!) ,i have blue cross and they accepted my year on ww as proof. I did have to call ww 3 times to get them to fax the info to my dr, so you may have to keep on them. Do keep track of the date and person you talked too, it was helpful info when i had to call a 2nd and 3rd time. nice people at ww, more than willing to help, i just think the ball got dropped a couple of times. Best of luck !
  9. i couldnt of said it better myself ! im still waiting to see if insuance covers me, so ive only told a few people that i might get banded, so far only one was negative. she lost weight several years ago with diet and exercise. im happy for her, but obviously it didnt work for me. What gets me is nobody would make a negative comment if i said i was going in for heart surgery or to repair a broken leg, but you mention WLS and all of a sudden you get negative comments. why wouldnt somebody want you to have a healthy body? i dont get it!
  10. hi, im waiting on insurance. my paperwork was sent in nov 8th. i have bcbs. can anyone tell me how long before they got an answer? im on pins and needles, excited and nervous a little. i have been to 3 support meetings so far, and im loving what im hearing from everybody. everyone of the people at the meetings tell me the same thing, they only wish they had done it sooner. good to know!
