  1. Congrats to you and your new journey. Keep us posted.
  2. Congrats to you...I myself am waiting on a date
  3. Your welcome. This journey is a long one but a much needed one. I will keep you posted. I myself have an appointment with the doctor on 11-9-11. After that visit, they will submit to insurance. So I am not going to be able to get my sleeve until the beginning on the year because they are already booked for Dec and the beginning on Jan. I don't mind the wait, I am just glad that I am getting it!!! I am claiming my approval. Make sure you keep us posted on your journey
  4. Okay forum sisters... pls inform me on this question..has your sex life improved since the weight loss? At this point..I just want it "OVER" with..lol My energy level is horrible. If anyone has had trouble here, please tell me it will improve after the weight is gone?? !!!!!!
  5. Question, did anyone have a breast reduction and lift "Before" getting the sleeve? If so, how was your outcome? I know that a woman may drop down bra sizes after loosing the weight, but with this being done prior, did you even have anything after the fact? I am worryed that I won't have "NOTHING" after I drop the weight!!! lol
  6. It is going to all work out. Stop stressing about it all. Everything happens for a reason. If the job comes available, after being hired, let them know up front that you are scheduled for surgery soon. I look at all this as a blessing. You of course want the new beginning, and you are about to possibly start a new career. Dont look at it in a negative way. View it as all positives!!!!!!!!!! :Angel_anim:
  7. Thank you for responding. I was worried of course. You hate to get this far and fail. Thank you again
  8. You look great!!!! Thank you for the pictures. I love to see the before and after shots!!
  9. Okay forum family, I went to get all of my tests done..the blood work, echo, and the swallow test. Well, the nurse at the Dr office called today saying that my blood test showed that I was H Pyloric???? The nurse explained to me what it was, concerning bacteria in my stomach that can cause ulcers...anyway, I have to go to the Gastric dr on next week....she says that I wont have anything to worry about, it is common that this is found, I will end up getting meds to clear it all up..wondering has anyone else experienced this? Sounds scarey to me!!! If anyone has, please share your experience.
  10. Everything happens for a reason. I know that you maybe down due to your relationship with your husband, but try to focus on your new journey. U have alot of things that are going to come to you and the kids, in this new chapter of life. Look at it as shedding the old and embracing the new. One day at a time is all anyone can do. Stay positive and focused, even on the rough and tough days. And most importantly, congrats to you and your weight loss.
  11. You are in my prayers. I know the feeling. I finished all of my testing on yesterday. Now I have to wait to see the doctor on Nov. 9th. So I am also praying that everything goes well. You pray for me and I will surely pray for you . I have a different insurance than you. So I am praying that things go well for us and everyone else who is waiting along with us.
  12. You look great. Keep up the good work!!!!!! Congrats to you
  13. Welcome to the forum. I do not have the sleeve yet. I am also a fairly new member. I guess I would have to say that you may want to try to refocus. Try doing other things that you may possibly enjoy so that you won't be "lurking in the kitchen". You will be okay. This website is very supportive. You will meet people that will help you get through this. Congrats on your new beginning.
  14. Hi and welcome to the forum I havent had my surgery yet, but I have heard that you may need to take 2-4 wek off. It just depends on you. From my understanding, it really depends on you. As you view the forum, it will become very helpful to you. You will find out alot of info on different things that others have/are going through. Stay in touch. Glad to have you here.
  15. Congrats!!! A New Start..A New Beginning
  16. Congrats to you!! Keep us updated on how everything afterwards
  17. :welcome: Congrats to you and your new beginning. Continue the good work. I havent had mine done yet but am looking forward to the day!! And thank you for joinning us
  18. You are gonna have to take back the control on the sweets. Be more careful and try to do better. Tomorrow is a new day. I hope you fell better
  19. I have been where you are. It is going to be okay. I too feel as though I am "the fat one". I am the biggest in my family and I hate when i get around certain members and they say..God you have gotten bigger or You need to hurry up and do something. I feel so ashamed. I am sure that your family is not harsh like mine, but I know how if feels to think that all "eyes" are on you and how much u may have possibly gained. I have isolated myself from so many social events due to my weight. My family has get togethers all the time and I will make up any and every excuse not to go. To be honest I have purposely scheduled myself for work on specail events so that I will not have to attend. That way, I wont have to feel as bad about it because I can just say "I have to work'. Make this year the last year that you allow yourself to feel this way. Cheer up. Next year around this time you will be a force to be reckoned with!!!! Go knowing that you are about to make a life change very shortly and enjoy the time that you are about to spend with them. Keep us posted on how it went. I too have not lost any pre weight. I was discouraged as well. Its okay. Everyday is a new day. It is all part of your process. You may not have lost the weight before hand, but just prepare for what is about to become. You are going to be okay. Looking to hear from you soon
  20. Thanks for replying. I dont have to start over the weight loss process all over. By me going back and forth to the hospital this year..all that money is not going to go towards my new deductible. So instead of me paying less than 800 for my surgery and hospital stay, if I have the surgery in Jan. I will have to pay close to 2,000 because that new deductible starts itself all over at the 1st of every year. I was a little down but it is worth every penny. So i will just have to do it.
  21. You can do it!!!! I too do not have a date scheduled yet but I can imagine that it will be hard. Stay focus and try doing other things when the hunger pains kick in!!! Remind me as well lololo
  22. Hey forum family. So I went to the nutritionist today. I have completed all of my weigh ins, my doctor has sent the office a letter of recommendation. I have my Upper GI and blood work scheduled. My issue is that I was told that I am not able to get my surgery this year due to them being all booked til the first of next year. Now I am going to have to pay a "HIGH" deductible due to insurance starting over in Jan. I really wanted it (the sleeve) done before the end of the year so that my fees were not that expensive. But I AM GOING TO CONTINUE ON. Its just a little bump in the road :frusty: :pout: Any one had to experience this yet? Overall, I am excited. I want it too bad not to pay whatever it is I have to pay, in order to get it. Please send any msgs you may have my way. I hope yall had a good day!!!!
  23. I am sorry things seem to not be going as planned. Hang in there. Go ahead and try to get the "new" things done so that you can get the show on the road . It will be all worth it in the long run. So cheer up and look forward to your new beginning.
