Ok, so here I am day 3 post op, feeling pretty good, just have really bad pains on my left side. I can honestly say that the pain is really not as bad as I thought it would be. Just moving really slow and trying to drink, drink, drink. I'm already sick of broth and jello and I can't wait to day 14 where i can have beans and fish, you know real food. I also had a hernia repaired and i'm taking my meds like i should.. I just feel SOOOOOOOO bloated though, is that normal?

December Bandsters!
Tomorrow is my big day and i'm so excited. Getting ready to go to drs office for a class and then i think i will relax the rest of the day. Kinda nervous but the excitement out weighs the nervousness. Got my prescriptions filled and i'm concerned about swallowing a big pain pill. Can anyone tell me if they had problems with that...I'm wondering why he didn't prescribe liquid...hmmmmm

Denied by BCBSI for Lap Band Surgery And Devastated!
i too was denied by BCBSI not once but TWICE!!! My Dr submitted all my paperwork Oct 19th and at the end of the month I got my 1st denial. I was pissed!!! I didn't give up even when it seemed as though the staff at my drs office did. I took it upon myself to have sleep apnea test done and had them fax that paperwork in and called BCBS EVERY SINGLE DAY!! Yesterday they sent approval letter to my dr, today I went in to sign consent and i'm scheduled for surgery on Dec 16th. yep next Friday...what ever you do, DON'T GIVE UP!!! and don't rely on someone else to get necessary paperwork for you. Do it yourself, make the calls yourself and document who you spoke to..Good luck to you dear...

After 2 Denials - I'm Approved For Lap Band Surgery!!!!!
@ rn2012, how long have you been waiting?? Don't wait for letter, you need to call the insurance company, b/c after my dr resubmitted my paperwork on 11/22 i called on the 28th and they had it just sitting there, it had never gotten forwarded to medical review. So if i wouldn't have called i would still be waiting...

After 2 Denials - I'm Approved For Lap Band Surgery!!!!!
i was denied the 1st time b/c i have a BMI of 35 and only had high blood pressure. I took it upon myself and scheduled a sleep study and have sleep apnea and had the dr submit additional paperwork the week after my denial. I called EVERY day to BCBS to check status and a week after dr submitted additional paperwork they told me that I was denied again. Said that they had no BMI info and i had no co morbitities. I argues with the rep until she looked thru the paperwork that dr sent in and she found it and resubmitted to medical review. I got a call today fromBCBS telling me that I'M APPROVED....
