  1. Congrats on reaching your goal!
  2. Woohoo! Congrats on the surgery. I will definitely be following your story.
  3. Wow, thanks for the post.
  4. You really make me want to try the pre-op diet for real so when I get to it I don't cheat. Congrats on your willpower! I don't know if I could have done it.
  5. I keep reading it like learning how to eat all over again. I am glad you are transitioning well. I am kind of scared of this, but I want to change my habits for the rest of my life. I do not want this vicious cycle of inhale this and gulp that to take away my life. Thank you for sharing your day by day experience. Good post!
  6. Cottage cheese is like chunky cheese in a suspended liquid. The texture of it kills me. I can't eat it. But I do enjoy the greek yogurt. I will second that it tastes like less sour, sour cream. And you can add tons of things to it to make it more tasty, like Torani syrups. Put it on southwestern omelets or try putting it in other recipes that require sour cream for less calories and more Protein.
  7. I will definitely try these as I am running out of my favorite Atkin's shakes. They all are really an acquired taste. I am the same, Day Dreamer. I love the shakes just for breakfast and a snack between classes and work.
  8. Thank you for sharing all this information. It scary to think that doctors are pushing a product like this even knowing the problems. There is a surgeon in my city who ONLY does bands, and I can't imagine how many of those 1500 people might have suffered like you ladies.
  9. I feel like I am going to be in for a rollercoaster. I am leaving the only town and friends I've ever known to go to another college in the fall and none of them will be there to comment. Is it worse when the people you know won't be able to see it at all except through facebook? You ladies are really good at keeping me positive. Good post!
  10. Aw, I am so sorry. I hope you hear good news from them soon! Keep positive!
  11. Good thoughts from a fellow Jacksonvillian! Congrats on getting your surgery date.
  12. Yeah, I am totally worried about this. I will be starting at a new school, and I am really worried about falling behind. Hopefully, I can get my surgery for labor day weekend.
  13. Woohoo! Leah that is awesome. I am so excited for you. Everyone here is soooo nice, don't be afraid to ask questions and comment.
  14. Exactly, there is nothing that gets me down like giving up. You ever remember that movie, Galaxy Quest? Well, if you don't it still had one great line... "Never give up and never surrender." It has been my motto for school, but for my weight, I've let that fall on the wayside. Thank you for writing this.
  15. I am crossing my fingers for you! I hope you hear from them soon with good news!
  16. Ah, good idea. Better start collecting samples now. I am just scared that my tastes will change drastically after surgery.
  17. Interesting article, I am definitely interested in seeing what happens to me skin after surgery and weight loss. I have always been obese so I don't know if after all the punishment my skin will come back. I am will take the wait and see approach, I guess. Thank you for the info!
  18. That is awesome. Congrats on your amazing weight loss!
  19. Lol, I am sure you will do fine. An upper GI is truly yucky but you will get through it. Good luck!
  20. Woohoo! Congrats on onederland!
  21. Woohoo! That is awesome. Congrats!
  22. Not in my opinion, I have made the decision. I am happy only sharing this with my mother and boyfriend. They give me all the support I need along with this forum.
  23. Aw, it is a really great feeling to have the person you love support you. I am so happy you have him in your life to help you through this. P.S. Congrats on the Magic Bullet. I want one sooooo bad.
  24. Amazing! You are doing so awesome. Lol, I can't even remember the last time I was in onederland. Thank you for sharing your photos. They are so inspiring!
  25. Right now, I am trying to diet and get through the my supervised six month diet. I am aiming to lose 10% of my weight. Two months in and I have only maintained a 5 lb weight loss. My boyfriend has lost 11. I can't seem to lose it anymore, and I know how to diet. Believe me, I've been doing it since I was 11. I am at the point it feels like I need the surgery if I want to be healthy.
