I'm such a waste of money eater now...
waste of money going out to eat marfar7 don't have a list of places - cuz DH and i are/were pretty boring "going out to eat" people we would go to friendly's, outback, red lobster, stuff like that last year was my 1rst t'day at goal i decided going to a brunch, where you get your own food would be a good idea for me i am a picky eater, and theres a bunch of junk i don't like i paid $21.95 for that meal!!!!! eating as little as i did, sure wasn't worth the money but.............. got special "permission" to get a container to go and even get more from the 'food table" i filled up the container with llllllots of roast beef, turkey - lasted so long i finally had to toss it dh says i am now a cheap date - he's right!!!! able to feed a 3rd world nation emptying fridge..... gotcha, know exactly what you mean, and its so sad - there are starving people in my own backyard and all around the world "they" never told me/us the money we save on going out to eat, we spend on new clothes kathy

Robert Angel nice to see you glad you dropped in for some help/support many (me) have slipped off the wagon on a "rare" occasion there are several "pizza" jokes here that are "seriously" asked ie - 4 day poster will say I just had 2 slices of pizza was that ok, do you think i hurt my sleeve?? 4 months PO you have done terrific being down 80 lbs its good that you realize you shouldn't have had those 3 slices of pizza - in 20 minutes too!!! OMG little shaken up, feeling little guilty - go with those feelings, really!!!! that will help you/me/us to stay focused and on plan - drink our Water, all that good stuff we must follow you are aware and know that you must get back on that wagon "eyeopeners" can be good - sounds like it helped you whenever you think of doing 3 slices of pieces - KNOCK IT OFF!!!! GET OVER IT!!! for me and possibly others, weekends can be harder than during the week no good help on that, except trying to stay busy maybe tie your hands behind your back!!! its good you are tracking et al now hear me loud and clear!!!!! no more large silly amounts of any food, or you'll have to face me!!!! btw come around the neighborhood more often on a sunny/rainy/cloudy/and day kathy

I'm starting the process
found a place that took my insurances - Medicare sbailey1 i had to go to "informational" meetings, then 3 meetings prior to WLS this is one of the first steps in getting the surgery, then speaking with surgeon, and then, and then.. and then....... continue to gather lots of info read these boards we all will help, support, and give our words of wisdom?? what kind of procedure are you having done??? when i had surgery medicare was not accepted (now it is) the sleeve was not being covered by all insurances (still isn't, but i think its improving) two years po i had to fight to finally have my sleeve surgery paid for by my secondary ins (but thats another story) your emotions will be all over the place as you are approaching surgery being happy, nervous, scared et al then again - periodically post op you might feel many different emotions too goes with the territory good luck kathy reread your post i see you just joined us yesterday woohoo welcome

Science says the band stinks and the sleeve works.
Science says the band stinks and the sleeve works. CoffeeGrinDr I'm responding to your post by saying i'm not gonna respond to that statement in fear of my life there are "lappers" et al on this "community" board now and out of respect (and a little fear ) i wouldn't touch your comment with a 10 ft pole!!!! i am sooooo very happy that i had my sleeve done 2 years ago DOS 12/15/11 235 lbs 5'3 12/15/13 130 lbs goal still 5'3 but everyone has a right to their opinion / thought on what surgery to have especially you - and i respect your thoughts and the interesting listed references/statements and i/we all wish them well i see you are about one month pre-op best of luck to you speedy recovery kathy

Am I the only one that wants to eat this or that for the last time before surgery?
MNMema  R you kidding me??? I think the people that don't have your feelings/thoughts are the exception not saying that its good to have a food funeral, i did it though shhhhhh, between you and me I gained 7 lbs not a good idea if you feel the need to have that last meal before you start pre-op I say go for it (others might not agree ) just don't go crazy the more you weigh day of surgery, the more you have to lose its true you will be able to eat that steak or whatever else later, but in much smaller quantities - but thats our new improved lives and thats great!!!! but splurging once IMO is ok but..........get back to eating correctly, moderately, drinking lots of Water before you know it you'll have your pre-op then look out................ you will be sleeved and on your way to a healthier, happier, longer life good luck kathy
