  5. ddw12 reno is right Water is much more important than protein at this time you must stay hydrated!!! many people successfully drink room temperature water - goes down easier sorry you are having issues with dry heaves not that this helps much............... but you only had the sleeve 3 days ago your tummy is still adjusting - its mad at you for allowing a doc to "cut you up" give tummy more time to heal after a few days, "maybe" give doc a call if that will make you feel better but...........these issues "usually" take care of themselves and get resolved each day should get better and better God Grant Me Patience, Just Hurry Up About It!!!! kathy good luck speedy recovery

  8. brweyedwoman please don't be swayed by the docs opinion he probably is more familiar with bypass he has the right to his opinion of course, but he did say either way is fine glad you have been stable with your kidney problems for the past 18 years you've done your homework, and you wisely decided on the sleeve don't second guess yourself now!! Welcome, Welcome always room for another smiling face wow, you are ending and starting the new year with a bang!!!! its said on this board, "the one thing we have in common, is that we're all different " in other words, some people heal, recover very quickly - up and running (back to work) in a few days, a week others (you "maybe") might need a longer time to recover you need to have Protein shakes waiting for you at home, broth, popsicles most importantly.............. a faucet that works and will supply lots and lots of Water good luck next month speedy recovery kathy

  11. amytug last 10 lbs??? my strategy??? I kept pulling my hair out!!!! last 10 lbs are usually a bitc h!!! i think theres a group specific concerning the last 30 lbs........so i'm sure there is plenty of discussion on the last 10 lbs too!!! keep doing the right stuff, your body will tell you when it "ain't" gonna let you lose any more!!! btw - i thought you were a sleeve survivor, not lapband??? good luck kathy

Christina with "old age" setting in, i don't always hear well did you say you lost 102 lbs?? you did, you did say that!!!! happy dance, happy dance 12/15/12 - one year PO i had just reached goal in about 3 weeks i'll be 2 years PO still at goal!!! (for the rest of my life!!!) very, very, very happy et al still at goal kathy
  14. adargie great weight loss!!! woohoo i never had a set day or time that i used to weigh myself every few days usually but................now that i am at goal/ maintenance i - i weigh every morning people have been shot for less if/when i have gained a lb, thats ok but 2-3 lbs - oh, oh - i better get it off!!!! Tiki this didn't happen to me but............... crying, different emotions frequently happen after surgery try and dry those pretty eyes, things will get better hope your recovery is going well other than that things will improve as time passes take care look forward to your healthier, happier, longer life with the help of the sleever good luck kathy

Welcome Newbie always enough room to welcome a smiling face surgery in two weeks??? you must be so excited you might have a few emotions - nervousness, excitement etc etc all perfectly normal ask your questions read the boards - you will see things you can relate to first suggestion coming up............. post surgery - get up from bed ASAP and start walking around in the hospital good for gas, and just to start your recovery sip, sip, sip your water if you are having trouble with cold water - drink room temperature take everything slowly things will better day to day you are on your way to a healthier, happier, longer life good luck speedy recovery kathy

  24. lose.n.8 tough love can/is good there are people that come here 3 days PO looking for absolution after they had 3 slices of pizza of a bag of oreos i agree with the wise words from Amazon below she did all the "right things" - and still had major problems PO (leak?) "You made conscious decision to buy and prepare the foods you did. There is a reason you are required to follow a strict diet plan Have you heard of leaks? If you can't tough out two weeks of liquid Proteins how will you ever manage the rest of your life with the sleeve?" Amazon there are people that come here 3 days PO looking for absolution after they had 4 slices of pizza or a bag of oreos the shake consisting of milk, yogurt, et al hasn't done any damage but.............you did make the wise decision to have this wonderful, beneficial, life changing surgery please don't mess up now!!!! the chicken Soup will arrive shortly, thats great never be without something to drink (or eat) - going out looking for it, then being surrounded by temptations you have 6 more days of Protein shakes (yeach!!!) but you gotta drink them gotta follow all the "rules" get all your Water in (64 oz a day) don't drink with your meals stop drinking 30 minutes before you eat don't drink for 45-60 minutes after you eat other important stuff to follow and do also for the rest of your life but you CAN do it its good that you realized you shouldn't have made that shake (but at least it wasn't pizza!!) read the boards, you will hear many different tales, stories, info gather all the knowledge - then follow the right things ask more questions you WILL get much support here from your fellow sleevers but as friends........we need to help you and tell you the truth , even if you might have done wrong you can and will be successful - as long as you do what you know you are supposed to do wishing you much good luck kathy
