The Last 10 Lbs

All the charts etc say I have about 12 lbs left to go. I'm certain that some of that is skin, so I'm saying I have 10 left. Which is Unbelievable!! I kindof wonder of I'll actually feel done when I'm done. How the heck does one know when they're at goal? Anyway- I'm hoping you guys can talk to me about the last 10 lbs., were they pesky? What was your strategy?

  • I'm nowhere near close, but it seems like people have used the 5:2 for the last few pounds. How amazing that you are so close!

  • Oh man. 5:2 is an option, but I did that before and I was super cranky on those low days. I'll put that in my bag of tricks, but it's at the bottom. Lol. My family needs a happy mommy/wife. Slowtog

It's taken forever- My surgery was April 26 2012. I am at 139.4 Lbs lost.

My goal is 145 lbs- ironically it's about half the woman that I was- given that I started at 289.

Slowtogo- awesome that you're still sticking with it! I'm 9 mos out and some days I just wish I could quit obsessing about it!!

I have found I need to track and weigh everyday... but I have tried to take that "obsessed" mind part out. I just do it like brushing my teeth. When I don't do it, I gain. I am finally at goal, (well, working on losing a little bounce range) and how I act is mostly the same as I did when I was still in the losing phase. I use the 5:2 and luckily I don't get too cranky, wouldn't like that! It has gotten easier with time. Its a good maintenance tool too, you might even get away with one day a week for that(6:1). (not me so far, but after the bounce pounds are gone... 3 or 4 I may go to one day a week and see if I can keep the weight off) Just do what your doing, its not a race, you will get there! I was 5 pounds from goal when i started gaining, and it took me almost a year to get back there and then to goal. I'm still learning how to do this right!

I am 2 lbs from goal and then I gained 2 but have now lost them. I need to figure this out so I can reach my goal and stay there!
