DOS 12/15/11 235 lbs 57 years OLD 5'3 1/12/14 130 lbs 60 years YOUNG GOAL still 5'3 love showing my stats there are not enough H's to describe how healthy and very happy i feel i am retired 3 years ago i would sleep til 10:00 am!!! didn't see that much reason to get up nothing special to do, or just didn't want to go out in the dictionary next to the word "miserable" is my picture (DH very sad when he read that, me too ) now, my internal clock goes off daily at 7:50 am - and i get up excited ready for a new day i am always running here, there and everywhere do my volunteer work which i love just "stuff" that keeps me busy the age "issue" does bother me a bit trying to deal with that but, i am as old as i feel and i feel very YOUNG but my mom said to me this morning these exact words.......... "kathy i can't believe how old you are!! " i am pretty sure she meant that as - she felt even older (she's 83) having a 60 year YOUNG daughter but my sister said something like "kathy you look so good, wonderful" enjoying my new life life is good kathy

  20. stephg sorry about your knee tne reason behind those knee problems often have to do with our weight "issues" i had 2 knee replacements hope you continue to recup ok, and will have the surgery done on the 27th being nervous, excited, scared et al are common emotions that will continue speedy recovery good luck kathy
  21. Jaclyn blogging/you tube are great thoughts scrapbooking is an interesting idea too take a couple of before pictures then continue to take pictures monthly also take your measurements before and during your journey before WLS - i was all set to blog, then po i started, never kept it up one year PO - thought i'd start.............now i'm 2 years PO wish i had kept records of what was going on with me all those days main thing i will never forget is being in the hospital on valentines day - can never forget that date!! bottom line..........do as i say not as i do good luck next month speedy recovery kathy
  22. checking in my fellow december family - you are all looking and sounding terrific!!!! i'm also a December "survivor" keep following all the rules water is the most important in my opinion mainly never drink with meals - and don't drink for 45-60 after you eat and drink, drink all day!!! at least 64 oz do everything right - what have you got to lose?? you'll all be another in the crowd of success stories good luck towards your healthier, happier, longer life life is good kathy DOS 12/15/11 235 lbs 5'3 1/8/14 130 lbs goal one year PO maintenance still 5'3
  23. TTL there are threads on the board concerning people losing more weight than they want to, going the other way like it sounds you are your goal was 135, but you weigh 120 lbs?? you obviously need to eat more how is your tummy treating you??? are you having trouble eating enough??? do you vomit??? are you afraid to eat more, because you are afraid you will gain weight??? if the tummy is good, no other problems then............ just snack more in between meals (not going overboard of course) up your calories at meals still keep track, make sure whats going on people some times do say stuff like "oh you are skinny, you must eat" and you really look fine this has been discussed before do you feel bad??? sometimes are image of ourselves in the mirror isn't what we really look like there is a word for that - can't remember i mean we can look at our bodies and still say we look fat, yet we've just lost ie 100 lbs works both ways - you could be a perfect weight - you just see yourself too skinny cuz of what others have said sorry don't know the answer in regards to what you are thinking but repeating if you really are too small for your body frame - you must eat more talk to your doc too take care good luck kathy
  24. DOS 12/15/11 - Goal i guess i'm a vet too coming to the boards frequently, helps to keep me in my "place" i am reminded where i came from, where i am, and where my future will be following all the rules has been a bit harder for me at times as many others, i have fallen down a bit - usually get up with out "too" many problems it is great to see all you vets - and the new ones to follow you all "being" there has been very important/supportive/helpful for me see you all at the Water cooler i'm buying kathy
  25. Things going too well? Jaguilar Don' look a gift horse in the mouth be happy that things are going along smoothly i think people sometimes question their "good fortune" because they have heard others saying they are having trouble with this or that the one thing we have in common, is that we're all different good for you that you are able to drink and drink without problems drinking alot is great - you can never drink too much just make sure you are not gullllping, least not right away you will start to feel your restriction as time goes by when you are on soft foods and solids you are doing great don't look for trouble good luck kathy
