All Stars Line up!!!
Wow where is our team?! I thought I would get a few more responses than this. How is everyone doing out there? I started the preop yuck of mag citratre. Not fun. I am all packed and just doing laundry and getting a few last minute things done before I leave in the morning. Good luck to everyone as we roll into August!

friggin p'd off! STUPID STUPID STUPID DOCTOR WHY DO THEY EXIST?????
My PCP was not exactly thrilled either when I told him I was having the procedure. He too warned about the weight gain. I calmly explained everything to him on what I have learned and then he said "oh! Well in that case I wish you luck on your surgery!" Once he sees how success I WILL BE I think then he is evern the type to suggest it to other patients. But of course he was coming from a caring perspective. Your pcp was beiing an ass. He will learn the hard way when you go skipping your skinny butt past him if you are there that long. lol

All-Stars Preo-op diet thread
Having a SF Jello and Isopure for breakfast! Trying to be good and behave. Just taking it one meal at a time. Besides I have no room to complain cuz my preop is so short. I feel for the ones who have to go longer. I did Medifast for almost 9 months so I do how hard the shake thing can get.

Moving right along

MONDAY IS THE DAY!!!!!
BigSexxy, What are your preop instructions? Mine is 2 day of clear but I started this afternoon cuz like where you are it's just so dang hot! I take my bowl prep on Sunday afternoon. I had the doc write out my pain and blood thinner scripts so I could pick them up while I was in Kansas City this week. I had the Pharmacy add flavoring to the lortab liquid. I hope I can get it down. LOL. I have Protein samples,Isopure liquid, broths I got from trader joes grocery and just need to get SF popsicles tomorrow. I am taking off about 2 weeks. Have your written out your "12 reasons I am doing this" list so if we are in pain and are says WTH?! we can remind ourselves why we are putting ourself thru this? I am glad the work week is over so I can concentrate on me and all my sleeve sisters for August!

The Easy Way Out
KB you handled yourself with true grace! I am sure this tech will keep her tongue in check the next time. Until someone sits down and starts researching what is all involved in the process of WLS they have no idea how truly brave everyone has to be in order to take that step into the OR room. Thanks for sharing with us!

Looking for buddy in Kansas City!
Hey Everyone! I will be getting my sleeve this Monday! I am using KC Bariatric with Dr. Kowalski. I have been very happy with this group. The staff is amazing! So kind and supportive. Always willing to answer all my many questions. I also was impressed with the staff I meet at Hospital Specialty and Spine where I will have my surgery. Nice to see some more Kansas people. I live at the bottom of the state but work up in the KC area often.
