wasting away

My husband said to me last night "You're wasting away right before my eyes. " He said this as he was rubbing my back and feeling my hip and rib bones. I haven't even had surgery yet - still one more week, but I'm thrilled the weight loss is being noticed. He meant it as a complement and it was well received.
