  1. Thanks! I will increase my protein and see if that helps. Are you on anything to prevent acid or do you just use the Tums as needed? Pookeyism, you may be onto something. I was just reading an article in Consumer reports about supplements and it said that taking fish oil supplements was a good idea for adults and kids. I may add yet another pill to my expanding collection Thank everyone for the support and suggestions. It really helps to know I'm not by myself.
  2. Thanks. I tried the jello things and it doesn't work. Its not about missing the chewing for me, its just about that ravenous feeling I used to get before I was sleeved when I went too long without food. I guess I just wasnt expecting that, especially after this big surgery. My doc told me I have to stay on Clear Liquids until my 2 week appointment which is next monday at 2pm. I'm currently taking in Protein Shakes, so I'm not sure why I have to stay on clears another week but I don't want to break the rules and suffer for it later. Yes, LMD I remember LOL and I'm sorry I'm just panicky today for some reason. This hunger caught me so off guard! I checked my blood sugar this morning and it was 89, which is really a big change from my normal 101-110 fasting. Thank you ladies for responding! I think I will push more protein and count it toward my fluids like it was suggested. Maybe that will help hold off my hunger longer.
  3. Oh and I've been taking in Protein too as much as I can. Sent from my iPhone using VST

  7. wooohooo! BTW I  your blog!! Keep up the great work!
  8. LMD, I think you underestimate how much of an inspiration you are to people
  9. I know exactly how you feel. I'm having some emotional difficulties as well when it comes to food. Don't worry about venting or seeming like a baby, you just went through a lot of stress and its normal to feel like you've lost something. It's a time of bereavement for us. Take it a day at a time and visualize why you had the surgery. That helps me hope you feel better soon.
  10. Aw man that sux well the bottom line is : you're getting sleeved!!! At least thats the bright side right?
  11. Congratulations!! I'm so glad it all went well and you had a wonderful experience! Welcome to the Loser's Bench!!!
  12. I'm having a lot of success with the Syntrax Nectars. I'm 5 dpo and I've been adding them to Powerade zero or Water and knocking out my Fluid and Protein in one bottle. I ordered the sample packet and I think once i'm done with it I will buy another sampler. I tried the walmart brand, and I couldn't get past the first swallow. It felt like sand. I also use Muscletech Nitrotech Hardcore pro series from GNC and EAS carbadvantage Protein shakes. I used these before the surgery and I can still stomach them.
  13. My experience was I was able to drive 20 minutes to the store 3 dpo but I was really really tired. My reaction time was really slow and what saved me is that I was on a country road rather than up in DC where I live. It's now 5 dpo and I can drive longer distances but it really tires me. I'm still on medication for pain but only take it 2x a day. I think you could, but it would be very risky. Is it possible for him to get his license before your surgery date? Even a permit would allow him to drive as long as a licensed driver was in the car with him.
  14. I'm 5 dpo and I'm still having some gas, just not as much. I have the most when I'm drinking and right after I finish. But my gas pains were not as bad as some of the others I read about. I felt most of it in my chest but didn't get the refered pain to my shoulders.
  15. Hey ladies. I recently discovered threading. The lady I go to does an awesome job and it lasts around 4 weeks. I do touch ups but that's just the neurotic part of me from having the hair growth for so long. Maybe that would help? Sent from my iPhone using VST
  16. You look completely different and it's amazing!!! Congratulations luv!! Sent from my iPhone using VST
  17. Yes, heating pad was a lifesaver in the hospital! I second the gas x strips and walking. I have to walk when I drink anything to help it go down smoother.
  18. Thanks Liberated Sleeve!! I'm taking all advice right now! I'll try the dedicated cup tomorrow! How much can you drink at once now?
