  7. Hey ladies, thanks for responding. Liberated I wonder the same thing. I was doing well before my period hit and now that it is over I am feeling better and I've been able to eat again. I had lab work done a few weeks ago but I haven't heard the results yet. I am going to set up an appointment next week with my doctor and let her know what happened. Missmarbe, I am really considering changing my insurance so that I can go outside of the base for healthcare. I would rather pay than get it for free at that place. Thank you ladies for your concern! I will keep you both posted
  8. I think someone mentioned it, but it may be lactose intolerance. I developed it around 2 weeks post op. It was a royal pain because I had 3 different kinds of protein and I've spent so much money trying to find something that doesn't make my stomach turn!! This post IS right on time!!
  9. I read something about a 12 or 13 year old VSG patient, but not sure if she had a leak.
  10. Wow, so where do I start? Let's go backwards Yesterday I was in the ER. I hadn't had an appetite for 4 days. I'm really dehydrated and I've barely been able to look at any food, let alone stomach it. Around 5pm I started having really bad pains across my stomach and I got really dizzy and nauseated and if I had anything in my stomach it would have been all over the floor.. My heart was racing, I was really hot and that was scary because I'm always cold, and I was hyperventilating. I didn't want to go to the ER because they are HORRIBLE but he made me because I had symptoms of a leak. Long story short, I left AMA, I mean just walked right out with an IV still in my arm. I waited 3 HOURs for pain/nausea meds and never got them. I was so livid I just walke out. So, I don't know if I have a leak. During those 3 HOURs, my symptoms subsided and I felt a little better and I thought if there was something really wrong, they would have seen it on the xray and I would have been up in the OR by now. I know I'll probably get some flack for walking out, but I work in medical and let me tell you Bethesda Naval medical center is by far THE WORST facade of a hospital I've ever seen. 3 hours is unacceptable to wait in pain. I don't know what is going on with me. The first 26 days was great. I was eating well getting in my protein and water and once my period hit, everything went downhill. Is this normal? Does this ever go away and will I ever get my appetite back? I hate being nauseous at the smell of food.
  11. I'm noticing that I'm having more pain in my teeth and gums. I haven't been doing good with getting in my vitamins or protein so I wonder if that has any correlation.
  12. I have faith in you LMD! I know you can do it! I can't wait to see you at the end of 60 days!
  13. Hey everyone. I hope all is well. I haven't been feeling good for the past 2 days. I noticed that its correlating to my forecasted period start of tomorrow. For years, I've been able to pinpoint the start of my period by my pre-period symptoms of bloating, chocolate cravings, and excessive road rage. Now, everything is different. I'm nauseous, especially at the sight and smell of food. The only thing Ive really been eating today is a pack of crackers and gatorade. They seem to settle my stomach. I've never experienced this much nausea before. I don't like this. I have a weird fear of throwing up. It hurts too much. Did anyone else notice a change in your cycle symptoms? What can I do to combat this nausea?
  14. the hardest thing has been the head hunger. Im thankful for the restriction of the sleeve. I've said I'm physically full, but mentally starving!!

  17. There are a lot of people posting about their upcoming surgery dates and it's hard to keep up. Would it be possible to make a calender function that everyone has access to? That way we can look and see whose dates are coming up or surgiversaries and offer them encouraging posts/messages and congratulations. Let me know what you think!
