  1. Hey everyone, I'm noticing I'm starting to feel REALLY hungry since I had my GB removed Friday. It's a painful hunger too. Before I could go hours not realizing that I haven't eaten. Now it seems that I feel this empty stomach feeling every 2-3 hours. Is this normal?? Please tell me this goes away.
  2. Hi All! I'm looking for sleevers in the DMV area. I hope to be sleeved in August and it's really hard to find good support groups in this area. Feel free to post here or send me a message!

    Legs are crossed

From the album: After the sleeve

I can't stop crossing my legs, just because I can.
  4. HI group members~~ It's been kind of quiet so I wanted to try and open the discussion up a bit. Let's introduce ourselves, tell where we are in our process, pre-op diets, etc and use this thread as a motivational tool for our upcoming surgeries I'll start. I'm 4 days into my pre op diet, scheduled 3/6/12 with Dr. Mann at Portsmouth Naval Hospital, Virginia. Right now I'm taking it minute by minute then hour by hour. That is the best I can do right now.
  5. Hey everyone. I hope all is well. I haven't been feeling good for the past 2 days. I noticed that its correlating to my forecasted period start of tomorrow. For years, I've been able to pinpoint the start of my period by my pre-period symptoms of bloating, chocolate cravings, and excessive road rage. Now, everything is different. I'm nauseous, especially at the sight and smell of food. The only thing Ive really been eating today is a pack of crackers and gatorade. They seem to settle my stomach. I've never experienced this much nausea before. I don't like this. I have a weird fear of throwing up. It hurts too much. Did anyone else notice a change in your cycle symptoms? What can I do to combat this nausea?

  14. Hey everyone! I have seperated stomach muscles from my first pregnancy. I ended having a c-section and every since then I've suffered lower back pain. My doctor says this is because my core muscles no long support my back. From what I understand, they lace your muscles back together like a corset. I would like to have this repaired and would like to know of your experiences or any stories that you have heard about it to determine if its worth the hassle. THANKS!

    Hip Pain

I have been noticing pain in my hips as well when I wake up in morning. I've also noticed it when I sit in one place to long on my tailbone. I've NEVER had that problem before! I don't know if it is because pressure from the bones being closer to the surface of our legs or just the drastic change in body composition pulling calcium from our bones.

    Pissed Off And Frustrated

You have to give your body time to catch up with your mind. You're thinking the weight should be falling off and your body is in panic mode as NancyJerry said. You just had major surgery on top of a sudden drop in calories. Your body is built for survival and is now in survival mode. Just keep doing what your surgeon and team tell you, follow your diet, drink your water, walk, and just live. I promise you will start to see results. The majority of people on this board have the stall around 2/3/4 weeks. Everyone is different but that stall seems to happen to everyone. Suggestion---> hide the scale. Weigh once a week, preferably in the morning right after you pee, then hide it again.

    2 Months And 49Lbs Down

Yesterday marked 60 days post sleeve. Sometimes I forget that I lost 80% of my stomach until I eat a bite too many. Life is pretty much the same as before, but Im much more active adn happy. I've had so much going on in the past 2 months. I'm down 49 pounds since the start of this journey. I'm almost HALFWAY to my goal!!! I'm graduating from Nursing school in 2 weeks and hopefully I will start my job in June. Despite the rough times, despite missing soda, and despite the second surgery I had to have for my gallbladder, this is the best thing I've ever done for myself. I still haven't told anyone in my family except for my husband and mother in law and I plan to keep it that way. When people ask me what I've been doing, I'll just say exercising and watching my portions. I still eat the same except for bread, pasta, and sodas, so technically I'm not lying
