Surgery on the March 5th - could only eat 2 tablespoons of broth and 1/4 popsicle. Wasnt expecting to do much more. This morning, ate 5 tablespoons broth, 1/2 popsicle and 1/4 jello. I am just not pushing it, dont want to throw up. Drank a 20 oz bottle of water over sbout 14 hours...doctors are happy :)

Quinn! I could not keep ANYTHING down, not even 1oz of water for 3 days after surgery... just keep trying a little at a time. I am at 2 weeks and 3 days now and can tell you, it does get better... just a little slower for some of us :)

My doctor would not discharge me until I drank 36oz of water and it was only 2 days after surgery but I did it and went home. I am now on day 6 and each day I can handle more and more.

Hey twin I also got sleeved on the fifth but didn't go home until this afternoon because my belly was still swollen n couldn't even get ten oz of water down so doc said I had to stay. I am doing much better today so I am. Happy I stay the extra day but it still hurts wen I sip I hope it gets better soon because i go back to work on the 19

Today I feel better. Thanks for all the replies. I'm able to keep a little more down. I love Sonic ice! It stays down. Still afraid to try protein drink. Any suggestions?

I am using EAS 100%whey protein 1scoop as 23g of protein. They have vanilla strawberry n chocolate vanilla is my favorite. Taste good with non flavored soy milk

Tried injury unflavored protein drink. It did not work. Am going to try isopure grape frost next. Wish me look!

isopure isn't that bad for my taste buds, a friend of mines bought a couple and did not like the taste and gave em to me, its not that bad its sweet n it does have a weird signature i guess after taste lol.. so far i have tried their banana pine apple mango , and this red one i think its raspberry strawberry or something,, ur just going to drink something after wards n brush ur tongue because it makes ur mouth dry.. n tongue feel icky.. but loving the protein content.

I think I'm going to try using the Isopure protein drinks to make protein jello. Has anyone tried this yet? How did it come out?
