Home And Doing Well!

I cannot stress how great Dr. Averbach is. He came to check on me personally EVERYDAY and the staff at St. Agnes took very good care of me.

I'm home! Actually got home yesterday just have been trying to settle in. I'm on full liquids for two weeks which is ok cuz three or four sips of soup and I'm full. I'm sipping my water but it is def the hardest part because it just doesn't feel the same so I am flavoring it with a little lemon or crystal light.

Getting in and out of the bed has been a challenge but I have figured out the least painful way. The leak test was disgusting! LOL worst stuff I have ever tasted but I had no leak so that was awesome. They did it Friday morning so I went all day thurs without anything passing my lips but the glycerine lemon swabs saved the day. Still had dragon breath lol but they def helped me a lot.

I still have the drain in to monitor things which is a weird feeling but my doctor likes to be very careful, so I will do what I have to.

Sorry to ramble! Pain meds are taking effect but if you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask! And I will answer as soon as I can.

Congratulations!! I'm so glad it all went well and you had a wonderful experience! Welcome to the Loser's Bench!!!

good deal, glad it went well for you, the hardest part is over now, just hang in there and be sure to take plenty of "after" pictures, they will help when you have some "difficult days". at least that's what I plan on doing.
