  1. I found liquid tylenol at Wal Mart. Grats!
  2. Both Wylers and Hawaiian Punch make a sugar free mix in the little singles packets. I really like the Hawaiian Punch flavors
  3. That is fricking amazing! I know you worked so hard for it and it inspires me to buckle down. Thank you for sharing!
  4. I drink before during and after eating with no problems. I drink carbonated drinks with no problems. That may or may not work for you. The main thing to remember is don't take medical advice from anyone on this site. There are a couple on here who seem to think they are qualified to give it.
  5. How many per day? Everybody is different. I try to keep mine below 15 per meal to keep my blood sugar under control.
  6. My doc numbs the area before he sticks the needle in. Then he has me sit up and hold it while I drink some water. It doesn't hurt at all.
  7. I probably wouldn't tell unless it got very serious. But then again, if they were sharing personal secrets with me I might open up sooner.
  8. Me either. Just tell me what my goals are...... calories, protein etc., and I will figure out how to get there. It is hard to eat for both the band and diabetes. For me anyway.
  9. Not everybody has a nutritionist/dietician.
  10. 100 pounds is very impressive. You have lost a whole person!
  11. I agree. I think when doctors don't know what has caused something they start looking for excuses. "We don't know why your band slipped, but since you stated you drank sodas we will blame that." I also think I could find it "somewhere" on the internet to back up just about any claim made about lap bands. Doctors are still learning about the band and I think they are a long way from being experts. I, and probably you, have read far too many post on this site with peoples doctors telling them completely different things from another's doctor. Bottom line is there are still a lot of unknowns.
  12. I have lost over 70 pounds and I do feel a little less "insulated" than I used to. The true test will be when July and August hit. But to be honest I have always been hot natured and sweated even when I weighed 175 pounds.
  13. Why would it stretch the pouch when liquids pass right through the band and go to the main stomach?
  14. I have been drinking and eating since day 1 with only one backfire. Luckily I was in the kitchen when it happened. Everybody is different.
  15. Grats to you and I hope you feel well! I think staying the night is always a good idea.
  16. Biotin is in the Vitamin section. Good for hair, nails and skin they say.
  17. I take a Flintstone with Iron and a Centrum Silver chewable. FWIW most chewable Vitamins are not as complete as the regular tabs.
  18. This is definitely about you! You only get to do this once. Edited to add................... if I was your husband I would stay home and support you during this time. No offense meant.
  19. My experience with two week liquid diet was that the headaches etc. Only lasted about 3 days. After that the only problem I had was juicy poop.
  20. Some Drs seem to forget we have to pay for these appointments whether we need them or not..
  21. The "post" button is working for me. Thanks!
  22. Stay at the hospital so they can look after you, if you can work it out. I am a little surprised your doctor is giving you a choice before surgery. Mine waited until afterwards to make the determination.
  23. Aircraft and movies. Two things I have avoided for sure. Last movie I saw was Jurassic Park, in 1993 I believe. Last flight was in 1999 and I barely fit in first class.
