  1. Thank you... ive had no tightening, just the WORST cramps i've ever had! I however have like a dry heave spell, like i'm so nauseous I can't eat. Thanks for your advice, i have a fill tom, ill def bring it up!
  2. Alright girls! I'm almost 4 months post op and ever sincemy surgery, my mentrual cramps are the worst i've ever had! Has ne one else experienced this or is it just me? I'm dying!
  3. Agh... guys, I'm dying here. I've had 2 fills, the 3rd will be on June 7th and I'm so upset with my weight loss. Iread everyone's success and I feel like my success isn't where it should be. I've lost 35 lbs. The problem is, I lost those 35 lbs within the first 2 months! I havn't lost anything in a month and a half. I'm getting so depressed. My clothes fit better and I've gone from a 24 to an 18.. but the damn scale hasn't budged! I need some encouragment!!! Thanks :-D <3 Ronni
  4. Liquids for a month... WOW thats ridiculous!! I had 2 weeks on liquid and by the time i was near the end... you DID NOT wanna mess with me. haha. It's ok if you cheat, as long as it's a good cheat. Wheaties, compared to french fries or pizza... not bad at all. You'll get the horrible quilty feeling, we all know that WAY too well! I'm 3 month post op and my thing I tell myself i CAN NOT have is starch/ carbs! French fries and fried chicken helped me get to the 300 lbs i was for sure!!! Don't let it get to you, just make sure you bounce back. I'm just now where I want to be, band wise. I'm finally feeling restriction and I physically can't eat a burger, even if I tried. Best of luck to you and remember, WE are all here for support my friend! <3 Ronni
  5. than ks guys... i'm glad i'm not the only one!
  6. ok so... I am almost 3 months post op and I am finding it to be a little difficult to have sex. i feel like there is so much pressure on my port all the time. I get these sharp awkward pains, kind of like my port is up in my rib cage! It's horrible! It doesn't really hurt, but more uncomfortable! has ne one experience these weird pains? thanks <3 Ronni
  7. I feel pretty darn amazing! I just got back from getting my first fill. It didn't hurt, just felt a lil weird. I felt the pressure of the injection into my port. Overall, a SUCCESS! I only got 2 cc's, which i think is pretty average on the first time around. I hope I feel some restriction. Hopefully I'm one of those lucky one's who feel it right away! haha! Liquids for 24 hours here I come! <3<3

I totally hear ya! my surgery was 2/16/11 and to be honest with you, i still have trouble sleeping. i sleep on my stomach, always have! the port sometimes hurts. i don't know if it's the pressure or what but it def hurts sometimes. The first 3 weeks were the worst though! I slept on my couch, kind of sitting up on my right side. That was the only was I could really sleep! Good luck with your journey and get some rest! <3
  9. Thanks guys! I don't know if i will feel any type of restriction . at my first post op check up my doctor said I had the smallest stomach he's operated on.. so even the smallest band was too big. So I'm taking it that he will put a lot in my band.... cause he knows it's too big, or he wont. I'm just so nervous! I need to get full fast! I'm at that slump! I lost about 30 lbs in the first month... and it's been almost 2 months.. I'm going to the gym and eating healthy... but nothing! I feel how I did before surgery!
  10. i get my first fill on Thursday! I'm praying to God that I will have some sort of restrictions!! Right now I feel like I can eat WHATEVER I want! I definitely do not! That I promise u... but the other day I made mac n cheese for my hubby and tried a bite and man can I just tell you the guilt I felt after. I don't know what to do!! U feel like I should never touch a fry, steak, bread, or ne thing along the lines of not really being to great for u. I had a family cookout today. While my family sat there eating pulled pork, potato salad, and cole slaw, I was eating grilled chicken and steamed green beans!! agh! I'm becoming a good cook when it comes to healty stuff but damnit i want a BIG MAC! I just need advice guys! I'm struggling <3 Ronni
  11. I am almost 2 months post op. I feel amazing. The first 2 or 3 weeks I honestly felt like I was going to die! Kept thinking "what the hell did I get myself into? Why do I have to be going through this just to get skinny?" It was emotionally draining and got to the point to where I jusdt wanted to GIVE UP! I don't get my first fill till Thursday. I've had to wait because my dcts only do fills tue and thu and my job didn't allow me to take off. Back to the point... everyone experiences this whole process differently. You just have to remember to keep your head up and remember what this could bring you in the near future. This isn't an easy fix. We have to work for this.... it sucks that we can't go eat a big mac or fried chicken . Stay strong and don't just rely on the bad! No this isn't meant for everyone, but please stay strong! We are all here for support! Good Luck!!! <3
  12. hey guys! i was banded on 2/16/2011. i feel AMAZING!!! im down about 27lbs! the first 2 weeks were deathly! at least it felt like i was gonna die. but now im on mushy foods. i can start the gym as of next weeek. I am sooo excited! I can't imagine the weight I am going to lose once my butt gets on that stair master! good luck to all of you! <3<3<3
  13. hey! my responses are not as medically spoken hahha but i can however tell u my story haha! i am a lil over 2 weeks post op, and let me tell you.. by my 3rd day, i think i was seriously praying to die. haha i was in so much pain. it wasnt even my stomach that hurt, it was my neck and chest! everytime i breathed in it felt like razors were scrapping my esophagus. i called my doctor they said it was normal. i even had really bad dry heaving. now that was ridiculous! but as soon as i hit the 7th or 8th day... i was great! i was on pure clear liquids for 2 weeks! i had a bite of whole ( grits) food today! i guess the moral to my story is that it gets better sooner than later! everyone heals differently, that i know.but no matter what you go through, you can turn to us! you're never alone! best of luck to you!! <3<3 Ronni
  14. gas x solves my problems lol!
  15. Haha i can relate. I am also 10 days post op. My fiance and I ran to the store so i can get some more skim milk plus for my protein shakes... he says he's staving. Burger king he says... i was like whatever! we get home, he pulls out a large fry with one of those quad bk whoppers at burger king. agh! but i sipped my protein shake. jerk! lol
  16. thanks guys... it's much better now. i am still feeling a little nauseous, but much better.
  17. Yay congratulations! I am 8 days post op and let me tell you. Before I scare you, we all know everyone experiences the after affect of the surgery in different ways, so you may feel amazing lol. I had severe pain in my neck from the gas, dry heaving, nauseous and on the verge of death, so it felt. lol I want to give you hope that it is worse before it gets better. :-D Being able to come on here has been a true blessing! We are all here for your support. It's great being able to ask questions knowing that the people who are answering, have lived what we are going through! Best of luck to you. <3 Ronni
  18. i was banded a week ago.. im still in some pain. a lot of nauseous and still horrible neck pain from the gas. how long do i gave to wait to go to the gym? thanks

  20. I am 6 days post op and today was my official day back at work. as soon as i started i felt extremely nauseous. to the point that i had to run to the bathroom here and there. I never threw up, but kinda had like a dry heave i guess. Every time i hiccuped air comes up like a burp then never comes out and that;s when i feel the extreme nauseous feeling. someone please help me! i called my doctor and he said to make sure im taking my nauseous pill and i did today. i cant continue like this.
  21. I had my surgery 2/16. I was sitting back on my couch today and went to move, using most of my stomach i guess, and felt like my port moved. is that normal? lol i right away sat still for at least a full minute and said "omg omg omg, what was that?" haha
  22. haha agreed! i literally just bought the scale today! i never wanted one before!!! heck no!
  23. 13 lbs down!!! i couldnt believe it! im in such terrible neck pain from this stupid gas, but i know in the end it will be worth it! yay for me!
  24. hey guys... i'm curious. Did anyone notice that after weight loss you have lose/excessive skin? I was just banded on 2/16/11, so i have not lost anything extreme but I'm just worried that when i lose the 100lbs i want to lose... that i will be all saggy. I'm only 24 but i am so scared that my skin will be lose.
