3 months post op...

Agh... guys, I'm dying here. I've had 2 fills, the 3rd will be on June 7th and I'm so upset with my weight loss. Iread everyone's success and I feel like my success isn't where it should be. I've lost 35 lbs. The problem is, I lost those 35 lbs within the first 2 months! I havn't lost anything in a month and a half. I'm getting so depressed. My clothes fit better and I've gone from a 24 to an 18.. but the damn scale hasn't budged! I need some encouragment!!!

Thanks :-D

Perhaps you are losing inches instead of pounds. I'd suggest you food journal to track your calories and see what you are eating on a daily basis. Are you exercising? If not, start walking. You can do this!

I think you are doing great! 35 pounds in awsome! Your body is probably adjusting from such a rapid loss. I second the excersise advice. It has so many benefits, weight loss just being one. Start out slow and gradually increase your duration/intensity. Also, I found watching carbs really helps. Lots of lean meat and veggies. I eat eggs most mornings for breakfast. One egg with the yolk and 3 others. I either scramble them in an olive oil spray or hard boil them. I snack on low fat cheese sticks and nuts (1/4 cup). Hope this helps and keep up the good work.

Having the same problem ARRRGGG. I was banded Jan 11th and was doing fine losing weight, not hungry etc. Dr decided to do a fill on April 1st while it was still free. I ended up too tight and had some taken out on the 4th. Since then it's been terrible. I have been doing water aerobics 5 days a week since August. I added strength training 2 days a week on April 11th. Since my fill and unfill and adding the strength training I've only lost 5 pounds in the last 7 weeks. I think my clothes are getting looser but nothing is happening on the scale. I have been doing mostly low carb high protein. Not perfect had a small piece of birthday cake and a couple spoons of potato salad a little rice in the last couple of months. I can eat more than I did at first probably a cup of food depending on what it is. It's not like I'm stuffing myself or doing a lot of high sugar or high calorie foods.I don't know what to do to start the weight loss again and I'm frustrated. I stopped my protein shake to cut calories and I'm wondering if I should do the liquid diet to get things moving again. any advice would be appreciated.:(

I can understand the frustration you guys have! But looking at your ticker it looks like you've lost a lot already! I think it may be just your body catching up with the weight loss! Keep up the good work I am so impressed with your progress!

Huggles, my guess is you are replacing fat with muscle and that weighs more. Make you you are getting enough calories, 1000 is my docs orders. When I eat too little I stall. And keep your protein up. But reallyyou are doing great.
