  1. There are a few of us in the chat room if anyone wants to talk!
  2. I am the same way . I was before surgery and I was after surgery.
  3. If you get plain Greek yogurt, there are way less carbs and you can sweeten it with sf syrups. Look for the Torini or Da Finchi brand of SF syrups that they use to flavor coffee. They have zero carbs!
  4. I know how you feel. I was pretty upset when my bf and I broke up. You just have to concentrate on getting skinny and being able to wear cute clothes. Going to the gym is the best way to deal with stress.
  5. I've always kept my carbs at around 30 per day. Now that I am at goal, I can eat more, but I could never lose if I had more than that per day. Check out the food forum under ricotta bake. There is a ricotta cheese recipe that calls for sf pudding, cool whip , and ricotta cheese that's good. I also eat sf popsicles, the sf pudding Jello or swiss miss brand, sf fudgesiles for Snacks.
  6. My dr. told me it would stop at 9 months and I have to say at 9 months it really slowed down. I still lose hair when I wash it, but nothing like before. I've always lost hair even before surgery when I washed it, so I'd say now it's just normal. The hair loss was bad for me between 4-9 months. I have short hairs coming in all over the place now. I took the zinc and Biotin from day one, and upped my Protein and those things did not seem to help.
  7. heating pad is helpful if you have pain in your shoulder from gas or just want to put it on your tummy. A lot of people swear by Gas X although it did nothing for me. Sf popsicles are a must! there are a lot of sf drinks out there now that are good. I like propel, sf poweaide and gatoraide, sf snapple, crystal lite, and most stores have their own brand of that. Sf Hawaiian punch is good too. I put unflavored Protein Powder in all that stuff when I was on the liquid stage. You can also blend cottage cheese into tomato soup to give it some Protein. Soy slender is a soy milk that is good and not full of calories or sugar. It's on the shelf, not in the fridge. K2o protein Water is another good one.

The Greek yogurt with fruit already mixed in is going to be higher in carbs but it's so yummy. Shyone, If you have a costco, I've been told you can buy quarts of it there pretty cheap. A lot of people really like the brand Fage. That's why I buy the plain and mix in sf syrups most of the time, to keep the carb count down. The plain is also higher in Protein.
  9. I get the Oh Yeah bars from vitacost.com. It seems to be where I get everything from . Where do you get the Quest bars?

I am not sure because I got mine as a gift. I would look in the appliance section for any type of mini blender. generally, the Greek yogurt is the only one that is low carb. If you get the plain, you can add sugar free syrup with zero carbs to make it tasty.
  11. the chat room is starting to become popular finally! I am leaving the chat window open while I fool around on my lap top, so if anyone wants to talk, click on the chat button at the top!
  12. I think that GB surgery lowered our resistance. You know I had that cold, horse voice and ear infection for weeks. I have been taking echinacea which is supposed to strengthen the immune system. I swear by that stuff!

Look for Davinci or torini brand of sf syrups. they are what people use to make espresso coffee drinks. They come in many, many flavors.
  14. I really never stopped eating them other than on my post op diet. I like the Oh Yeah, choc. mint. They are kind of like a kit kat bar. They come in all sorts of other flavors too. I also eat the atkins caramel nougat ones, and the premier from Costco are so big so I only half of one of those at a time.
  15. Proper adjustments? That means a bunch of fills and unfills. Who needs that? I hope you get the sleeve. You'll have perfect restriction all the time.
  16. That's great Hope! I hope you feel well enough soon to come back to chat!
  17. Way to go! I love my sleeve too!

That's what I do too. I am 2 hours away from Costco so I have to buy the Brown Cow brand. The plain is much lower in calories and carbs so I use the sf syrups too. I have put jam in there and protein powder too.

There is a walmart brand of the magic bullet that is much cheaper. I use mine every day. They are great.

I am lucky in my little hick town to find Greek Yogurt at all. Our Walmart had Brown Cow brand, and Safeway has started carrying Fage. The Fage is expensive though. It's 1.99 for a 6oz container. Since it's so popular, I am hoping more stores are going to start carrying other brands of Greek yogurt. Tiff, seriously, you were still losing when you didn't want to, so I doubt if those few carbs are going to cause you any trouble.

Tiff did you send a PM to Alex or either of the Susans? I haven't tried to get in there today. A little while ago, I was wondering why I didn't try to log on, but I guess there would have been no point!
  22. you're welcome! I know people have been told to be on it at least 6 months, but I am going on 10 months, and every time I try to go off of it, I feel like I am starving all the time. When I am on it, I am never hungry. Now, I don't plan on going off of it. My PCP has told me I have no reason to ever go off of it.
  23. I'm glad you got your net book Lis! You deserve to do nice things for yourself! I think as you lose weight and the depression eases up, you'll have more energy. Working out can be addicting because you will feel so good when you're done!
  24. you aren't supposed to take more than your body can absorb at one time. So, it would be pointless to take one pill that had your entire daily requirement all at once. I've been told that you can only absorb 500 mg at one time.
  25. It is SPAM. if you look, the post contains a link to a web site.
