  1. Not me! I eat whatever I want. I am satisfied because I am full!
  2. Great job Judy! Gotta love the sleeve! Sometimes I am amazed at how much I eat, and I am not gaining weight. I love love love the sleeve!
  3. Right, but if you look on a map, Mexicali is not a small town.
  4. Pb2 is a little gritty, but I would not call it chalky at all. I like sf peanut butter syrup better, actually.
  5. You're doing fine Hope. Don't worry. Your sleeve is not going to let you eat too much. You think you're eating a lot, but try to remember how much you used to eat before you had sleeve surgery. As long as you're not pigging out on candy, and eating protein, you're not eating too much. Have you tried K20 protein water, SF gatoraide or sf poweraide instead of juice? I like Propel too and Snapple too. Snapple has some pretty good sf flavors.
  6. PB2 is dehydrated peanuts. You don't get all the fat in peanut butter. It's like a powder but it's not quite powdery. It says on the jar you can mix it with water and turn it into a peanut butter consistency. The Bell Plantation web site where you order it is supposed to have recipes for it.
  7. I didn't know it came in chocolate. I mix the sf Peanut Butter syrup in my choc. shakes. I have pb 2 and I keep thinking I will mix it with Water and make it into peanut butter. When I ordered it, I accidentally ordered too much!
  8. Hope I am just glad to read that you're eating again! I remember eating a lot of chicken salad and egg salad at 2 months out. Dry chicken breast was hard to eat, so I stuck with moist foods.
  9. I read that on OH and I wish Mac was still posting here. she is a wealth of information! I liked all the information about vitamins.

Yeah, it's pretty nice that we only have to get one pizza now that I can only eat one piece instead of half a pizza!
  11. I second that! Dr. Aceves is a fabulous doctor and I was thrilled with the care he and his staff gave me, along with over half the people on this board!
  12. Drink bottled Water if you're worried about food poisoning. I've always heard to drink bottled water in Mexico. I would take some Protein powder along, and you'll be good to go. I am jealous too. You'll have a blast and by then you'll have learned out to eat small portions. I am sure you'll find stuff to eat that you love and work well with a sleeved stomach.
  13. Look for soy slender in the store. It's soy milk not in the fridge, on the shelf in the grocery store. It has some Protein in it. Also K20 protein Water has some protein in it. have you been to egg face's web site? She has all sorts of Protein Drink recipes.
  14. mark, sorry I dashed out of chat last night without a good bye. My grandson hit the button and disconnected me from being online. You were gone when I came back. I hope you get your ins. problems figured out. If you can afford to go to Dr. Aceves, we all love him!
  15. Hope I am so glad you finally have some answers! I have really been thinking about you. I can't wait for you to feel well enough to come back to the chat room. My ear has given me so much trouble for the past month,I really feel for ya!
  16. Actually, Mexicali is very big, if you look on a map. That had to have been the same mall we went to. It makes me laugh now that I realize the cab driver took his sweet time giving us a tour of the city to take us there. My last meal before surgery was burger king because by the time I got there, I hadn't eaten because you can't eat before testing. I am glad I went to that mall. It was fun getting away from the hospital.

I was really afraid of solid/dense foods in the beginning too. I think it will change for you eventually. I remember when 3 bites of solid/dense foods made me feel so sickening full, I just didn't want to eat it again. When you get close to goal, you'll have been sleeved longer and certain foods will start sounding good to you. That doesn't mean you'll be able to eat very much of it. I go to pizza with my kids once a week. I am perfectly satisfied, content and very full with one piece of pizza while I watch them polish off the rest.
  18. Yeah, the same thing happened to me. I had to have stool samples done too. The dr. told me I would always test positive for it.
  19. I am glad you're feeling good Tiffy. I hope every day you feel better.
  20. I had a blast at the mall. I wonder if it was the same one. The lady I rode over from San Diego needed to get a cell phone charger and she spoke Spanish. She insisted we take a cab. Now I am wondering if the cab driver "took us for a ride" because it seemed way longer than a few blocks. It was fun though. I liked seeing the houses and neighborhoods he took us through.
  21. Right- Dr. Aceves had us do 10 days of clear liquid and 10 days of full liquids. That is nearly 3 weeks before we moved to mushie foods and I am pretty sure we could have soupy meat. It's been over 9 months ago for me, so I can't really remember the full list of what mushie foods he told us to have. I am pretty sure chicken salad and ground meat were on the list because I can remember eating a lot of that. Everyone's doctor has a different post op diet, so hopefully your doctor gave you a list.
  22. I agree with that. I waited until it was an emergency and I was sorry. It was so painful when I went to the emergency room and much more expensive in the end, from getting pancreatitis.
  23. Just sitting here watching my grandson. He is watching cartoons, so does anyone feel like talking?
  24. That is really good to know. I need to switch my iron too. I'd like to know that it's being abosrbed and not take it for nothing.
  25. There is nothing good about the band. It sounds good at first, but going for fills and unfills, and puking because cetain foods will not go through the band, is MISERABLE! I love the sleeve and I wish I had known about it first. The band is sitting on my dresser. It's a 10 grand mistake and really I don't know what I was thinking, putting that thing around my stomach. I wouldn't leave a rubber band around my finger for YEARS!
