Is anyone on antidepressant medication since the surgery?
Nope, doesn't help at all with that! You can go to the zumba website. It's kind of expensive, but my zumba instructor gets a discount and passes it on to us. I have 2 zumba t shirts. For sweating, I put a wash cloth in my waist band and wipe my face with it frequently. I found that easier than running over to the corner to get my towel to wipe my face. A wash cloth takes up much less room and I can keep it right with me.

Nexium, Hunger and my 2 cents
You're very welcome. I am glad I could help!

Yum!!
go to the food section of this board and look for a thread called places to order samples. I would not get a big tub of anything. There are so many people who like something okay before surgery and can't gag it down after surgery. I really like PVL whey Gourmet that you get from Netrition.com. I also really like BSN Lean Dessert Fudge pudding. I get that at vitacost.com You need to try samples first though!

Battle of the flab
I wish I could afford it. It's just too much money for something I can cover up with clothes. My skin is not that bad, other than my arms and boobs. I think the fact that I had a lot of muscle built up before I had surgery was a big help. My thighs are good, my tummy is not all that bad. I just have no boobs left, and I would love to get a face lift. I've heard the arms leave a horrible scar. By the way, my DD was 25 when she had RNY and her skin never came back, so I don't think being young has anything to do with it.

I agree with Judy. It will come off. Your body is just protesting that you've lost 14 lbs in a month. Our bodies like to get used to the new weight before it decides to give anymore up. Just keep doing what you're doing and you'll lose it. The sleeve does work for everyone who does not eat candy, junk food and suck down milkshakes, etc.

I ate pizza for the first time since surgery..mixed emotions..
I eat pizza once a week. I take my kids out to pizza every week. I can eat one piece. I love it. I love watching them polish off an entire pizza and I feel completely satisfied and full from one piece. The sleeve is so great! There is nothing to feel guilty about. I would feel bad if I was able to eat more than that, or if I sat there and watched them eat, wishing I could eat more. I just don't. I am very happy with my one piece, once a week. It's a normal sized slice and sometimes I do have to eat only the toppings off the last little bit. My question is, how do you get that Papa Murphys crispy? I have gotten that kind before, and it's soggy.

I take mine first thing when I get up.

Considering Revision-?s on Weight loss Resistance
Don't worry. The difference between living with the sleeve and the band is like night and day. For me, losing weight after I had my band taken out and got sleeved was pretty effortless. You will love the sleeve.

Iron Supplements & Nausea
The reason you are supposed to take it with orange juice is iron is better absorbed with acid in the stomach. So, you can't take it within 2 hours of taking your acid preventor medication.

SF Pudding and Ricotta
Cool whip is pretty low calorie to begin with. low fat or fat free cool whip would work fine. I would try it with whatever flavor of sf pudding you like, and the ricotta cheese. Look in the food forum for ricotta bake and you'll find the recipe for the dessert one there. You can adjust the amount of pudding with whatever pudding you use. I think it calls for one box of chocolate and one box of the cheese cake flavor. Just use 2 boxes of whatever you want. I think choc. and the carmel one sounds wonderful! Greek yogurt is way more expensive than any other kind of yogurt. To me, it's worth it because the Protein count is so much higher and the carb count is so much lower.

SF Pudding and Ricotta
There is a recipe somewhere that is fat free cool whip, sf choc. and sf cheese cake pudding and ricotta. It's in the food section with the ricotta bake..I just bought the ingredients to make that too. I am excited to try it. I am sure it would be good with any flavor of sf pudding.

Nexium, Hunger and my 2 cents
You're welcome. It's weird that acid does not feel like heartburn but if feels like hunger. I was really surprised when I tried to go off my protonix and I noticed immediately that I felt like I was starving. Now I never miss it every morning. I like Protonix because the generic is so cheap and it's tiny and I only have to take it once per day.
-
Favorite protein?
the premier are so convenient. I do use others that I mix with half water and half hood carb countdown milk. I like my stuff very chocolatley, so the hood choc. milk really adds to the flavor.

I take the generic of Protonix. It costs me $10. My dr. prescribed it to take twice a day, but I only take it once a day, so I get 60 of them for $10. It is an acid prventor, so I take it every morning. In my opinion, it's one of the best. It's also a very tiny pill.

Is anyone on antidepressant medication since the surgery?
I agree that Zumba could not possibly be more fun. I absolutely love it and I am totally addicted! I even bought the official zumba clothes!
-
Favorite protein?
i also really like the premier chocolate that you get from Costco. It's 30 grams of protein for each little rtd shake.

Calcium Citrate
I get chewable calcium citrate from vitacost . They are sweet, but i chew them up fast and drink some water right after to help them go down. I think it's easier to chew them up than swallow horse pills.I liked the lemon chews a lot, but I am determined to chew up what I bought until I can get the chews that Tiffy is talking about.

Kinda shocked I did this
Honestly, when I was on the post op diet, I found it necessary to stay completely away from other people who were eating. it was much easier that way. I did my post op diet and avoided being around food or other people eating food. Why torture yourself? You;ll go back to eating normal food in a little while. until then, find other things to do with friends that don't involve eating with them. That really saved me from feeling deprived and left out.
-
Can someone analyze what I'm eating pls?
yes, you should be on an acid reducer. Acid in your stomach does not necessarily feel like heart burn. It feels like hunger. When I tried to go off my acid reducer/preventor, I felt like I was starving all the time.

Kinda shocked I did this
It does get better and so much easier. Honestly, I eat anything I want. I am thrilled with the sleeve and I never feel deprived. I am going on a cruise soon, and I am wondering if I will miss being able to stuff myself with all the good food there will be there, but being able to wear a hot little dress and not being a fat lady will be so worth it!

Are you on an acid reducer? Acid feels just like feeling hungry feels. It doesn't necessarily feel like heart burn. I tried to go off mine, and I felt like I was starving all the time.

Is anyone on antidepressant medication since the surgery?
I love my lap top! It's the best thing I could have bought for myself. I like that I can have it in any room of the house, and take it with me when I go out of town. I hope you get this resolved soon.I think taking a class is a great idea. It's a great way to meet people and make new friends.
