eating and eating, due to not enough water
I am having a revision because I am tired of the band. I am tired of fills and unfills. I can never seem to have the right fill. Plus I hate my port. It sticks out of me like an egg. I have scar tissue from my port to my band that makes it hard to bend at the waist. I am happy to be getting it out. I am happy I got the band and lost weight, but I wish I would have known about the sleeve back then. I keep hearing about complications from people who have had their band for several years. I just want it out. With the sleeve I will have surgery and be done with worrying about restriction. I have been using Miralax for the constipation. I use it every other day instead of every day because it's really expensive. I also take a stool softner every eay. I try to eat things high in Fiber, fruits and veggies , yet this is still a problem for me.

I hate it when people post just to post.....
Did some of you miss Alex's big notice that he posted? He said LBT would be down for 6 hours while he moved it to a new serves. After it's moved, we shouldn't have problems again for a long time, he says.

*Susan* revision from band to sleeve
mac: Did you have a favorite of the unflavored? I would pm you but I think anyone reading can benefit this way. I have heard that the unflavored really does have a taste and it ruins whatever you put it in. Did you find that to be true? It would be nice to order what I need all from one place, if that is at all possible. I am going out of town soon, so I can look for a GNC while there for some of the Isopure. I can buy that at my doctor but he usually over charges on stuff that I can get elsewhere. So you're recommending Vitalady.com for the clear stage? I am not too worried about the liquid stage past the clear stage. I bought some muscle milk light which I really like, and I love the Peanut Butter choc whey Gourmet once I get past the clear stage.

Home from Surgery my experience
Everyone I know who has had revision has new scars. I don't know why they can't go through the same spot.

Protein Shakes
There is a big difference between the muscle milk and the light muscle milk light. The whey gourmet Peanut Butter and choc. is 120 calories 2 grams fat 3 grams carb

Bio-identical hormone therapy
That seems like a lot of work to keep implanting them. I have a patch that I change twice a week and it's bioidentical as well.

*Susan* revision from band to sleeve
You're welcome. If I had known about the sleeve when I got my band, I would have gotten it. I am glad the band helped me lose weight, but I don't want it in there long term.

I hate it when people post just to post.....
I am glad it was quiet this weekend. I was out of town and it's too hard to catch up if you miss a few days. I can't wait to love to shop. It hasn't happened yet, and I am 56, but maybe after my revision surgery, I will need new clothes again. I can only hope that I don't still hate shopping if that happens.

*Susan* revision from band to sleeve
Larry with a sleeve they just make you a tiny stomach. I am having my band taken out and getting a sleeve. with a band there is a lot of after care. You keep getting fills, and if they fill too much, you get an unfill. I personally am sick of the whole thing. I am getting a sleeve so I never have to get another fill or worry about restriction again. There are a lot of complications that can happen with a band, and I don't want to take that chance.

Mac, did you get the unflavored ungury or what? We don't have a GNC here. What about the Syntrax. What flavor did you like? Do they have their own website or do you get them from another site. Thanks for your help.

*Susan* revision from band to sleeve
I have heard Isopure and Sytrex both. I am not sure where to get the Syntrex I believe it's called nectar. Those are the only 2 clear Why Proteins that I know of. I have been told to stay away from those Bullet shots. Even though they say they are whey Protein, they are not a good form of protein. My dietician at my support group said they were garbage even though they claim to be whey protein.

Hello from Scotland.
I can't even imagine not being 5 min away from my doctor, let alone a waiting period like that. Good luck Cleopatra. I can hardly wait to get this over with. You can do a thread search up at the top right for that company. I know I have heard of it. If you put it in the search, you should be able to read what people have said about it. I really can't remember what was said, other than remembering the name being mentioned.

I am glad that I will have somebody close to my surgery date. Even though we will be a month apart, in the end, a month will seem like nothing. I will cheer you on during your liquid phase. If you're anything like me, support during the liquid stage is important. Even though I don't expect to be hungry, I will more than likely still be thinking about food.

Lap band erosion
You need to call your doctor. not being able to eat is a sign of a problem and you need medical advice.

LapBandTalk.com is Moving!
Great explanation LilMissDiva. The screen is cut off on the right side so you don't get the full screen the size of the monitor.
-
Too much protein?
Very good explanation. I knew it had to do with the kidneys. I remember when the dietician came to our support group, she calculated for my height I need 60 grams per day. She said it goes by your height. I am 5'2"

Protein Shakes
Muscle milk is delicious. I've never bought it in a powder though. I've had the chocolate ready made that I bought at costco and it's so yummy. I am going to look for this at GNC when I go out of town as we don't have a GNC here. I'm going to be on liquids again after my revision surgery.

Calorie Counting...
I am having a revision because I am tired of the band. I am tired of fills and unfills. I was throwing up in my sleep so I had to have a lot of my fill removed. I was too tight and didn't even know it. I hadn't had a fill for a year. Nothing ever got stuck. I never threw up in the daytime. Suddenly at 3am I would wake up choking on vomit. I keep hearing about complications from people who have had their band for several years. I just want it out. With the sleeve I will have surgery and be done with worrying about restriction.

Calorie Counting...
I would not think that you would count the calories if you didn't keep it down. Is this a something that happens frequently for you?

Bio-identical hormone therapy
Do you want this posted in the Women's room? It's okay to have it here, but the powder room gone wild is visited frequently by the women on the board and you could have it there too. I have the vivelle dot patch and I take prometrium capsules too. I have not heard of what you're talking about.

Non Scale Victories?
I am not part of the April group, but my biggest NSV was at the gym not long ago. A guy came up to me and asked me how I got my legs so toned. I was so shocked. I just pointed to the machines that I use all the time. They have really helped my thighs which are not flabby at all. I wish I could say the same thing about my arms.

Too much protein?
Well, I have heard the body can't absorb more than 25 grams at once, and you just pee out the rest. I would think that over 100 grams a day would be too much. too much Protein is supposed to be hard on the kidneys.

shh I got BOTOX!
How much does it cost? I would be interested in doing that but I am not even sure where I would have to go around here to have that done. I live in the middle of nowhere. People say I look young for 56 but I have some pretty deep wrinkles that really bug me.
