Calorie Counting...

Recommended Posts

I've had a bad night. I cooked a great dinner and none of it stayed down. I think the pork I cooked had too much fat in it. Anyway, I log my calories daily. Here's my stupid question, since none of what I ate stayed down, do I still log that food and if so how much of it? :w00t:

I would not think that you would count the calories if you didn't keep it down.

Is this a something that happens frequently for you?

Can I ask why you are having a revision to the sleeve....I am considering it also.

I am having a revision because I am tired of the band. I am tired of fills and unfills. I was throwing up in my sleep so I had to have a lot of my fill removed. I was too tight and didn't even know it. I hadn't had a fill for a year. Nothing ever got stuck. I never threw up in the daytime. Suddenly at 3am I would wake up choking on vomit.

I keep hearing about complications from people who have had their band for several years. I just want it out. With the sleeve I will have surgery and be done with worrying about restriction.

I have had my band for 2 1/4 years, and I just started having the same issues. Waking up at night choking even though I quit eating at 6:30 pm. I had a slight unfill to try to correct the problem and it worked a little bit, I sure wish I had been given the sleeve as an option to the band.

Good luck !

I am new and looking to get the band this summer. What is this sleive thing? I get nervous about getting this done. Give me some info. Would you do it again? Thanks:thumbup:

I would do it again, I would first find out more information about the gastric sleeve, you can look up the procedure on the website, just to have more options. But I am very happy, I have lost 120 lbs in 2.4 years with very little trouble.

Good Luck

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
