  1. You know you scare me when you say things like that. I was just thinking about how depressed I am going to be if I can only eat 3 bites.
  2. My left shoulder is hurting me right now, and I am post surgery over 2 years. I do know someone who had their band removed because it was so bad that they just couldn't take anymore. Mine is not that severe but it's definitely annoying.
  3. Thank you! That is a relief. I hope I do as well as you! I've just heard that revision surgery is more painful than someone just getting sleeve surgery. I honestly had no pain what so ever when I got banded, so it's nice to hear from someone that just went through it.
  4. i asked Alex to post it somewhere. Hopefully Alex will come back to this thread too.
  5. I am having my band removed. It's not because of shoulder pain. If I had known about the sleeve surgery before now, I would have never gotten the band. I feel it will be a better surgery for me. There are no fills or unfills, and I am tired of not having restriction, but if I get a fill, I start having all sorts of problems.
  6. Some people are very happy with their bands. Then all of a sudden they are not anymore! Band problems can start out of the blue. I don't know anyone who has had the band for say like 10 years, that isn't having problems.
  7. I agree too. I remember in the mod thread when they were all talking about site issues, Alex posted that Ken was working on them. I asked "who in the heck is Ken" I have never seen in posting at LBT before that one thread though. It's probably because they just did a big overhaul on changing servers.
  8. I am really excited. Did you have a lot of pain where they removed your port? I am a little worried about pain as I have a very low pain tolerance. I have to get on that plane and if I am in pain, I am afraid it will be miserable. Hey, I have had my band for 2 years and almost 3 months. we must have gotten banded right around the same time. I had no pain what so ever after band surgery, so I am a little worried about being in a lot of pain when I wake up.
  9. You're welcome! Why would I not tell the truth! I have always said I wish more people could meet you to see for themselves how caring you are!
  10. How about bras? They think everyone fat has huge boobs. I wore a 42 B at my highest weight. That was just about impossible to find. Those bra extenders don't work very well either.
  11. What breasts? Mine went away when I lost weight. I am barely a B cup now.
  12. I would get the sleeve if I were you. The band is a pain in the you know what. The fills are annoying. You have to keep going back to get them until you have restricion. Then you may have restriction, but all of a sudden you are too tight and can't swallow your own spit. Then you need an unfill. The sleeve is done and then you don't have to go back for fills unfills and worry about slips or erosion or any of the other possible band problems. I would have gottten a sleeve if I had known about it, when I got my band.
  13. Alex, on another thread, people are asking what Ken's role is here at LBT. They don't think he is legit asking for URLs or IP addresses. Maybe you should clarify who he is somewhere in a new post on the board. I am sure everyone wants the best for LBT so it's okay to be leary of someone who people have never heard of and are asking for their IP address.
  14. I posted a post in the mod thread and asked Susan to clarify what Ken's role in LBT is. If she doesn't answer soon, I will pm alex and ask him to post in here exactly what Ken's role is here at LBT. Or you can PM Alex if you wish, and ask him to make a post about Ken so people aren't leary of him.
  15. Ken is legit. He is someone that helps Alex with LBT. He is one of those computer wizzards.
  16. Dr. Phil seems to have taken a personal interest in her. Maybe he will counsel her kids along the way. They are certainly going to need all the help they can get.
  17. I can assure you that WasA does not work in Mexico. I have met her many times when I go to Phoenix to go and visit my dad. She is a very caring person who cares about people's health. This is an erosion thread. She cares about people who have bands that are eroding their stomach.
  18. I hope she's happy when they are all out of control teenagers!
  19. Who is calling who a winner? It's quite obvious that I have won!
  20. Ken is someone that helps Alex with this board.
  21. Karey, I hope you get a revision soon. It would be nice to have someone having surgery close to when I am so we can compare notes on how we are feeling, how we are doing with the post op diet, etc.
  22. Susan, Will you let me know what you order and how you like it? I would prefer not to have to order from several places, and recommendations from other people will help me avoid ordering junk I will be stuck with and not like.
  23. I can hardly wait for my revision surgery. I will never have left shoulder pain again. It's bad when I work out. I do a weight lifting class and my left shoulder just kills me during that class. I think the band has definitely made my shoulder weaker than the right shoulder.
  24. Miralax while expensive is a miracle. I use it every other day now as well as a stool softner every day. I still eat tons of fiber and drink over 64 oz of water, but I still had problems until I started using the Miralax. My dr. suggested the miralax and says it's fine to use on a regular basis.
