  1. My best friend who has always been slim didn't want me to have the surgery but from the moment I fixed my operation date she has been very supportive. She came with me to my pre-op and made sure I had everything I needed when I came home from hospital.... she even looked after my dog. I hope you have as much support from your less than enthusiastic friends/family when they see you are determined and also see the benefits to you.
  2. Spreadsheet seems to be working ok ....hope u can get on
  3. I booked a class at my local gym to update my makeup and I have booked to have my ears re-pierced. I have always had regular manicures, pedicures, facials and updated my hair but I have hardly worn make up for ages.
  4. Hi Sue, I am in the UK too so just wondered who did your tt
  5. thanks for sharing your pics Sue, they are really encouraging. I am a good bit older than you but I am sure I will need a TT and a boob uplift would be good. Where did you have your surgery
  6. hi guys, my first challenge too, I was banded on 10/15/10 and havent had a fill yet. I see my doctor on 18th Nov and expect a fill then. I have set a target of 10lbs, I have lost 8lbs since surgery but this has slowed now I am on mushies..... does my target seem reasonable or should I aim higher???? good luck everyone
  7. Hi Angel I got my band at Leeds Nuffield on 15/10/10 with Simon Dexter. I have an appointment on 18/11. Is 5ml the normal amount for a first fill?
  8. Hi Leah, great idea 1/11/10 lost 8lb since surgery on 15th October, eating mushies at the moment
  9. hi i was banded on 15th Oct. congratulations on your surgery. If you have any questions please ask, if I cant help there are lots of people in these forums who can
  10. good luck with the surgery. I was reading an old post about your tummy surgery a couple of days ago and wondered how things were going, especially when I noted the date for your breast surgery....great to hear you are on track as you planned and looking great. I think I will need a tummy tuck when I lose my weight.
  11. hi guys I just came across this thread and wondered how the TT's etc had gone. I am recently banded but looking forward to the day when I can take this step. Congtatulations on your successful weight loss!!!!
  12. Trish, sorry about your setback, I am an emotional eater too. Your previous posts that I have read have always encouraged me and show you have the strength to turn this round. Good luck
  13. I was banded on 15th October but I have never been on liquids. I had consomme the afternoon of the operation and a yoghurt the next morning. I can eat oatmeal/weetabix, meat and veg etc as long as it is liquidised to a yoghurt consistency. I was advised to eat 3 meals and 2 snacks a day. hope this helps and good luck with your weight loss.
  14. congratulations Leah, I was banded on Oct 15th and havent had much pain except when I hiccup. I really enjoy reading these threads and seeing how eveybody is doing.
  15. I was banded 8 days ago and have 2 weeks of the thick liquids and then i can go on to mushies. I know how you feel, now i feel normal I feel I can eat more than I actually can. Luckily I have a dog who is helping me out until I can adjust the portion sizes lol. Congratulations on losing 11 pounds, I have lost 5 pounds since my op.
  16. hi everyone, i read ur post before Cakey but I only registered a couple of days ago so couldn't reply. I was banded on Oct 15th. I originally went down the nhs route but eventually went to the Nuffield at Leeds. I am happy to answer any questions about my experience. I got a lot of information and help by browsing the posts from the USA. I found them invaluable in the weeks before my op.
  17. I was banded october 15th 2010.....not needed pain meds but a bit of nausea with the gas. I had my gallbladder removed at the same time. I haven't felt really ill just not particularly well. The good news is I finally feel 'normal' this evening so you will feel better but we all react differently after the surgery. take care
  18. welcome, good luck with your appontment. I was banded 5 days ago and have found this forum invaluable. Let us know the outcome of your appointment.
