Finally banded!!!

I finally made it to the other side. I am banded!! I went to the hospital yesterday @ 6:30 am for my scheduled surgery @ 9am. Things went pretty well I was out of surgery by 10:30. I am so excited i feel like a brand new person. My only cimplaint was that the anesthea they gave me made me very sick. I have 5 incisions and I am very sore. I did end up staying @ the hospital overnight because I could not eat or drink anything. 24 hrs after the band I still dont want to eat anything. Is this normal? I dont even want to drink. I am finally @ home resting. I cant wait until the healing process is over.

:thumbup:Yes... totally normal. I found it very hard to get my fluids the first week, my Dr. said that is normal. The first week can be physically uncomfortable. Good Luck

I was banded october 15th 2010.....not needed pain meds but a bit of nausea with the gas. I had my gallbladder removed at the same time. I haven't felt really ill just not particularly well. The good news is I finally feel 'normal' this evening so you will feel better but we all react differently after the surgery. take care
