I was able to cross my legs while sitting for the first time in years! I went for a longer walk today and didn't breathe hard like I did a marathon! I haven't had to stretch out my shirts after washing them to make them bigger- I just slip them on and go!

    Any April Surgery Dates?

Hi all, I had gastric sleeve surgery on the 18th. I must say so far so good. The first two days were rough. The gas pain of it all - no joke I am now a week post-op and I feel great actually. The brain fog has lifted, I can drink more and move more. I still struggle 'foodwise', I need 2-3 hours for a friggin yoghurt. Does anyone experience running out of energy quickly i.e., one moment you start an activity and you are still fine, the next - you want a nap ?

    March 23 buddies yet?

Same here. Before this drinking wasn’t even a thought. I was drinking almost a gallon of water and drinking protein 3 times a day was not a problem. Now I can barely get it down. I have been doing the half and half of water with cranberry or pomegranate juice. I’m also eating a lot of refried beans and thank goodness for the sugar free popsicles.

    March 23 buddies yet?

I found this image and it has given me so much comfort. I've also been doing a lot of Googling bc my surgery center hasn't given much guidance around anything other than protein and liquid goals. From what I've read, at this time post-op I should be getting around 500 cals per day, and eating 1/4 c. to 1/2 c. at each sitting (every 3-4 hrs). For reference, I was sleeved on 3/24/23. I look at multiple sites of reputable surgery centers before I decide what to "believe". Hang in there friends! We got this!
