    Cooking with tofu

Thank you both ladies for the facts of both sides. I don't plan on going crazy with the tofu, but I think there is a lot more research that indicates soy protein can lead to better heart health and lower cholesterol. So, again...if anyone has any recipes for tofu... I'm open ears!

I keep reading that it's a factor, but I have GERD and have been on prescription antacids for years, and I have had the sleeve. I don't notice any difference, quite honestly.

Exactly!! Change is hard for anyone but...if you put your whole into something you can and will get there. The WLS did make me do it..You don't have much to say there. But as time moves on you will be able to eat more, and then YOU have to start making the right decsions of what to eat. I am by no means perfect and I do feel good about what I have done. Every day you will make the decisions to continue. As you have heard from many this is a TOOL, but we do the work. GRAB on and do yourself!!! Make the choices it will take. Good Luck and you are not alone in how you feel about yourself we all have pretty much the same thoughts. Keep coming here and take what you need from here and leave what you don't need!!

    Coffee

As much as I miss the taste of diet soda.... I really miss the carbonation. Something about a good fizz hitting the back of your throat. MMmmmmm. I need to unfollow this thread... it makes me weak.

I'm two weeks out and doing two walks at about a mile each every day. In between, I try to get up and move around for a bit every hour or two, but I don't count steps/distance for those periods.

I’m 23 days since my sleeve

I feel like I'm following @Creekimp13 around the message board and agreeing with everything she says, LOL. This is what I am doing. I'm at 8,000 steps a day now. I need to add an actual walk to meet this goal. All three of my current paths are 1.3 miles. Two of them are fairly flat and the third is very hilly -- I do the hilly walk every few days. Map My Walk is a great ap if you have a smart phone with GPS. And, get a Fitbit -- I ordered the new Versa and its coming today!
